Tanya Plonka captures the energy of a scene, the moment that lasts for only an instant. She creates vibrant, colorful images and impactful monochromatics with a high degree of clarity, letting the scene unfold before her. Her subjects are able to express their personalities through action, not direction, and Tanya knows the precise moment to open the shutter to capture this.

Tanya Plonka is a portrait photographer based out of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. She studied Photographic Arts and New Media at the University of Lethbridge, where she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with Great Distinction. She is currently a member of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP).

Involved in both photography and design, she does most of her work out of Litwin Photography. She specializes in portrait and performance photography, concerts being her favorite subject. Tanya is an active member of the local art and music scene, herself a performer. Recently, she has won an Accolade of Excellence Award from WPPI 2008 in Vegas.
