Sierra’s Baptism

For something completely different than some of my last few blog posts, I joined baby Sierra’s family last weekend to capture all the important moments of her Baptism in Cranbrook. Though the crowd of guests were a little smaller than those who had attended parents Krista and Giacomo’s wedding a few years ago, family still came from as far away as Lethbridge and Red Deer for this important occassion. First of all, Sierra is an awesome baby because her birthday date is a palindrome! She’s also quite the cutie as you will see…

Sierra decided she was going to cry through the majority of the baptism, and nothing would calm her down until the ceremony was over, at which point she was perfectly content again! Normally at baby photography sessions I try to capture the moments in between crying so the baby still looks happy, but this photograph really captures the day and had to be included :)

When you’re Italian, it’s pretty exciting to officially be labelled a Godfather ;)

Sierra took a much needed nap after all that excitement.

After the Baptism, both families joined together for a small party. We captured a few family photos in between snacking on the delicious food.

The weather was very indecisive that day and didn’t know of it wanted to be sunny, rain, or snow! This mini-blizzard happened quite unexpectedly during our photos, and Sierra reacted much the same as I do to snow!
