Coleman Winter Engagement Photography [Erik & Alena]

Though Erik and Alena are from Calgary, they are passionate about the mountains and want everything about their wedding to be based on that majestic landscape. We decided to start out with Coleman winter engagement photography as their first session, hoping for the heavy snow that is typical of February. Imagine our surprise when February rolled around with record highs! Luckily the Miner’s Path is tucked away enough with little sunlight during the winter and the creek was still completely frozen. With some careful angles we made it look like winter never really left!

We started out their engagement session at the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre to capture the best views of the mountains. I appreciated how tolerant they were of the wind there :)

The sky was such an amazing blue that day!

They brought along their brand new puppy for the day so we brought him along for a few photos (and kept him very snuggled to stay warm).

Erik and Alena were so fun to work with. The moment they came in contact with each other, it was always huge grins and tight squeezes. I hardly had to pose them!

The early warmth tricked a few spring green colors into popping out :)
