An Explosion of World Dance and Music

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

The poster for this year’s Explosion of World Dance and Music, hosted by Ammena Dance Company, is done! If you haven’t been to this show the last two years, the focus is on belly dancing but there is an eclectic mix of many different dance styles, and even a few musical acts.

Tickets for the show go on sale tomorrow! If you are interested in going, buy your ticket early because they sell out quickly.

I’m going to be dancing on one of those drums shown in the poster, oh boy. I’m also putting up a couple other designs I made that we aren’t using, as well as some shots I took of Lana, all after the cut…

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

I’m terribly sorry if you also watch Andrew’s blog and the LJ Lethbridge community, in which case this will be your third time seeing this!

Andrew will be back from Japan for a bit, and the guys are getting together for what will be an awesome show! It was really fun to combine the western and Japanese together for this :)

Credit for the Kanji goes to my friend Emiko Shibano, who went through the trouble of writing all the characters out by hand and then mailing them to me! It translates to Long Time No See (Hisashiburi desu ne), if you are wondering.

And also a bit of credit to a certain director… do you know who?

Lately I feel like I’ve been more busy doing graphic design than photography… but at least I can sneak photography into design!

It all started with posters for our dance show…
