Lethbridge Pet Rabbit Photography Session [Button, Eliza, and Théoden]

Lethbridge pet rabbit photography session

Full disclosure: this was my first ever Lethbridge pet rabbit photography session. These three adorable angels made for an amazing first experience with bunnies! Going in, I knew that whatever their personalities were like, anything would be easier than multiple cats. Despite a bit of defiance from one of the rabbits, I was not wrong!

When I arrived, Button, Eliza, and Théoden were all hanging out in their home for a lazy afternoon. I was immediately greeted by Théoden and Eliza, curious to check out this stranger in their home. Button meanwhile was super chill and just wanted to lounge around. Button continued to lounge around for his photo session while we inserted other, more energetic rabbits around him. He was our photo foundation!

Fort Macleod newborn family photos

At just under a month old, Cashton got in front of the camera for his Fort Macleod newborn family photos with his parents, brothers, and adorable dog Django in the River Valley Wilderness Park. His family is so in love with him that everyone was begging for a chance to hold him in the photos (with the exception of Django). It was a beautiful day for doing outdoor newborn pictures and Cashton was on his best behaviour for his very first photoshoot.

Coalhurst outdoor ice rink hockey photos

Last winter, Denise and Craig had an awesome idea to do Coalhurst outdoor ice rink hockey photos, but there was no snow! Winter kind of skipped us that year. Luckily (for their concept, not local travellers), 2018 was the year of snow! The ice rink was well maintained and surrounded by heaps snow, perfect for the winter look they wanted. They put on their favorite Oilers jerseys, grabbed their hockey sticks, and set out onto the ice for their couples photoshoot.

Their cute little dogs Sadie and Piper came equipped with their own matching jerseys. It was their first time “skating” and they did surprisingly well! I think their low centers of gravity definitely helped. The only challenge was figuring out how to run on the ice, but the snow banks surrounding the rink made that part a little easier. Piper especially loved sliding down the packed snow.

Lethbridge Winter Coulee Pet Photos [Tanya & Will]

Lethbridge winter coulee pet photos

Tanya was in need of updated professional headshot photos and her house made a great studio! She collects artwork on her travels and it added such great pops of colour in the background. By the way, doesn’t she have a great name? ;) Even her dog Will got to update his headshots while he waited for her to switch outfits.

After her headshots, we finished the session with Lethbridge winter coulee pet photos. Tanya regularly goes cross country skiing with Will. There wasn’t quite enough snow at the edge of the coulees to actually put her skis on, but we brought them along to pose with.

One sign of a good photographer is being able to photograph black pets and still have details show. I think it is an entirely new challenge to photograph a white dog in the snow! In a few spots the snow was a little deep for Will but he had so much fun bounding through the powder!

A Collection of Farm Animals

Southern Alberta farm animals chicken photos

Last year I second shot a rural outdoor wedding with a friend and loved sneaking away between events to photograph all the critters who lived at the farm! Their large collection of chickens roamed around, keeping an eye on our doings, while the sweet horses watched from afar.

Lethbridge Santa pet photos

This year Santa and I teamed up with Pet Valu West Lethbridge for special Christmas photos with all kinds of pets! In addition to our usual dogs and handful of cats, this year we also had a hedgehog and a gecko. There was also an appearance by a few furry members of the RCMP! Thanks to everyone’s generous contributions, we raised nearly $400 for A Better Chance Animal Rescue!
