Alison and Sean are ALL about the mountains; their wedding this summer will be held in Waterton, and for engagement photos they were thrilled with the idea of taking a day trip to the Crowsnest Pass for some beautiful snowy images. Darby and Thomas met up with me on one of the only snowy days we had in February (which only translated into a muddy day by the time we got outside!) for some engagement photos in preparation for their wedding this summer. I met Thomas a few years ago at his sister Liz’s wedding, and Darby is such a great fit for him! They are both so laid back and kind, and it was such a treat working with them. (more…)
I’ve known Trish for what is getting close to ten years now, so I was thrilled to finally take family photos of her, Adam, and their fur babies, Tucker and Morrison. They are such a cute family and some of the nicest people I have ever met :) Their dogs are so sweet and even though they were exploding with energy, they listened so well. Morrison wanted to be in every photo and usually trampled Tucker (and me) in efforts to be included! (more…)
Irene and Jed wanted to get some family photos done while their beloved senior dog was still with them. We met up on a very blustery day, which just made the dogs look like supermodels with billowing hair :) Moufassa and Finnegan were such beautiful dogs and I had so much fun with them! They had such contrasting personalities; the senior Moufie was so laid back but wanted to check out everything, while Finnegan has energy like he’s a few years younger but was totally fine chilling out with us. Irene and Jed with their fur babies make such a cute family :)
It is so sad that Moufie is no longer with us, but I am grateful I had the opportunity to capture his spirit in photographs so that they can always have the memories to look back on. He was very clearly an amazing dog and will be greatly missed :( (more…)
The wind almost ruined our session. ALMOST. I mean, it was pretty gross that day. Luckily Charlene and Mark trusted me to find them a wind free spot for their anniversary photos and it was gorgeous down there! They were so absolutely cute together and so much fun to work with! I’m so thankful they tolerated me having them climb through all sorts of bushes :)
Right at the end the clouds cleared and we got an amazing sunset. I manically posed them in the 10 minutes we had before the sun was gone, falling in all kinds of gopher holes. Worth every moment of it! :) (more…)
On the day Kailey and Adam had booked photos with me, I woke up to snow. Oh great! However, I’m so thankful our weather is unpredictable and we had a beautiful, dry and sunny evening to work with in the end… even if it meant it was still really cold and all of us were sniffling like mad! I’m glad our photos didn’t have to get cancelled because Kailey and Adam are so ridiculously cute and in love and I had such a great time working with them. I found myself going, “Awww!” a few times when I edited their photos :) (more…)
