Nicholas Sheran Extended Family Photos [Herb & Jenny]

Nicholas Sheran extended family photos

This family photo ended up being downsized a little… Enough of Jenny and Herb’s grandchildren fell ill the weekend of their Nicholas Sheran extended family photos that they decided to just do photos with their children, bringing our 250 person session down to 22! Despite the lack of children, I still had to make some silly faces to get smiles out of a few of the men :)

Herb and Jenny are such a sweet couple and show so much kindness towards their family. All of the siblings are hilarious together and I got to enjoy an hour of teasing banter as they hassled each other. It was wonderful to have their children get together for their 60th wedding anniversary!

Indian Battle Park Couples Portraits [Joanne & Duane]

Indian Battle Park couples portraits

The wind couldn’t keep Joanne and Duane away from their photos forever! We had to reschedule their first session because the wind decided to get really crazy. Sure enough, our backup date ended up being super windy again! (This *is* Lethbridge, after all.) Instead of rescheduling for a third date, we went deep into the trees in the river bottom for Indian Battle Park couples portraits and avoided the wind (almost) entirely.

Joanne and Duane are ridiculously cute together. They act just like high school age sweethearts, giggling at each other all the time and sneaking kisses without me even asking for them :) I had a great time with them and appreciated how well they tolerated the newly hatched mosquitoes.

Crowsnest Pass Outdoor Newborn Session [Parker]

Crowsnest Pass outdoor newborn session

It was lovely to meet brand new Parker for his Crowsnest Pass outdoor newborn session at the Miner’s Path in Coleman. We went back to the same location where his mom and dad did their maternity photos and got to capture the changing of the seasons as they waited for his arrival.

Parker’s parents are so in love with him and can’t stop showering him with kisses. He loved hanging out with them in the forest for the morning and even though we were all eaten by mosquitoes, he was lucky and they left him alone! He was so mellow about the whole experience. Parker’s only complaint was that he had to start out in little animal booties and he definitely prefers to be barefoot and feel nature ;)

Galt Museum Engagement Session [Raiven & Jonathan]

Indian Battle Park engagement photos

Raiven and Jonathan couldn’t decide between a Galt Museum engagement session or one in the river bottom, so why not both? They picked a gorgeous spring evening for it too!

I loved watching how great Raiven and Jonathan are together. It’s obvious they are best friends; whenever we’d have a moment to pause between photos, they’d eagerly be telling each other stories and making each other laugh! I can’t wait to see how happy they are at their wedding later this year :)

Extended Family Indoor Session in Lethbridge [Egidio & Betty Lou]

Lethbridge extended family indoor session

Egidio and Betty Lou had all of their family come down to visit for Easter and decided it would be a perfect time for an extended family indoor session (especially considering the crazy wind outside!). We escaped the breeze by going to the University of Lethbridge, a fitting location as most of the adult family members had attended school there at some point!

This group is a blended family, but you’d never know with how close they all are to each other. The cousins act more like a large group of siblings and the family is so caring and warm with each other, with a healthy dose of silly.

Waterton Bicycle Adventure Engagement Session [Krysty & Kole]

Waterton bicycle adventure engagement session

Krysty and Kole are avid cyclists who love riding near Chief Mountain and wanted to incorporate that into their engagement photos. They brought their bikes out for a Waterton bicycle adventure engagement session, finishing the day with a scenic hike to the Bear’s Hump in town. It was my first time doing the hike and I was so excited after wanting to take photos there for so long! I was a little slower making it up the mountain than they were but at least it gave them time to change at the top :)

We started the session just outside of Waterton with their vintage bicycles. I love how they styled themselves for the session! Krysty even picked up a fresh bouquet of flowers for her bicycle basket. They are such a cute couple and so incredibly sweet to each other. I’m so happy they could bring me on their adventure that day!
