A bit of inspiration: “Werewolf Heart” by Dead Man’s Bones

Two years ago I had Marie haunted and levitating in the woods thanks to the inspiration of a few songs. Since then the songs have continued to inspire me and have filled my mind with so many pre-visualizations for photos that I have to keep going! This will become a larger body of work as I conceptualize more of the songs and finally drag the artist statement out of the deep corners of my brain onto paper.

When I met Sniper – yes, the awesome “dog with a job” – I knew I had found my werewolf for Marie’s transformation. Cassandra was a natural fit to pull off my makeup vision.

The Last Chance Cat Ranch here in Lethbridge has a new round of adorable cats available for adoption, as well as in need of foster homes. This batch were as sweet as the last ones, if not more so, and I had so much fun getting to meet them!

DeeDee is adopted! Yay! She moves into her forever home this month.

Alison and Sean are ALL about the mountains; their wedding this summer will be held in Waterton, and for engagement photos they were thrilled with the idea of taking a day trip to the Crowsnest Pass for some beautiful snowy images. Well, Alison was thrilled… Sean just had to pretend to be for her sake ;) I had so much fun with them and I’m so excited for their wedding later this year!

Colby teamed up with her friend for moral support and they came up with boudoir photos as a sexy Valentine’s Day gift for her boyfriend. She was a natural in front of the camera, and I loved the little hints of her tattoos that peaked out. I appreciate so much that she let me share her beautiful images! As usual, no nudity but NSFW…

I cannot believe how much this kid has grown! I’ve been photographing Stetson since he was a week old, and he just recently celebrated his first birthday. It has been such a pleasure watching his personality develop. He’s already running everywhere, blowing kisses, and learning what animals say! He’s an awesome kid and I’m glad I met him :) Happy birthday, Stetson!

I ordered this fabulous red shirt off of Etsy and when first trying it on noticed how amazing the hood on it looked if left up! I’ve promised myself I would focus on self-portraits this year, and I knew this hood had to be used for one set. After some awkward bending, I’ve very happy with the results :)
