Frosty Lethbridge Landscape Photography [The West Side]

frosty Lethbridge landscape photography

I always joke that I only take photos with people (or animals!) in them, but I’m always jealous of all the amazing photos landscape photographers take by getting up before sunrise. I did not get up before sunrise, but I did get up early enough on one of our recent foggy days to actually catch the hoarfrost and fog! I set off bundled up to take some frosty Lethbridge landscape photography.

Quickly I learned that it was only foggy for several blocks around my house and everywhere else was bathed in winter sunlight. Luckily the frost still clung to the trees so I wasn’t left cursing being out in the cold for nothing!

West Lethbridge Summer Couples Photos [Jordana & Mark]

West Lethbridge coulees couples photos

Jordana and Mark will soon be seeing a lot less of each other due to work training and wanted to do a proper send off with a photoshoot together. We started their West Lethbridge summer couples photos at the University and finished off with a beautiful coulee view at golden hour. I appreciate that they had to walk through who knows what kind of hidden dangers in the grass that was almost as tall as Jordana!

I’ve known Jordana for a long time but this was my first time meeting Mark. I could instantly see why they make such a good couple! Their senses of humour are so in tune and they are best friends as much as they are so romantic together. They are definitely going to miss each other this summer.

p.s. I see Jordana regularly in our shared dance classes and was very impressed she wore something other than her trademark color ;)

Early Spring Lethbridge Engagement Photos [Alki & Sophia]

early spring Lethbridge engagement photos

Alki and Sophia came down to visit Sophia’s home town area over Easter and see family while planning their wedding for this summer. As part of their wedding preparations, I met up with them for their early spring Lethbridge engagement photos at Aperture Park at the University and it was awesome to meet them in person after only talking to them on the phone! They are so adorable together. They really feed off of each other’s light hearted energy while still sharing these romantic, introspective moments together. If they are this happy together normally, I can’t wait to see how big those smiles will be on the wedding day!

Lethbridge casual couples portraits

J’s mom wasn’t able to get all of her boys together for a photoshoot and instead gifted her photos to him and his gorgeous girlfriend A. J and A were so adorable together for their Lethbridge casual couples portraits. They are such naturals in front of the camera and so hilarious! A lot of their humour revolved around J making some ridiculous claim followed by A smacking him in the arm ;)

We did their session at Aperture Park at the U of L on such a warm, sunny early evening.

Lethbridge late autumn family photos

It’s been a delight watching Avery grow up this year as I’ve photographed her family at various milestones. I can’t believe she’s already sitting up on her own and having some cute little teeth pop out! This time we got to focus on her for Lethbridge late autumn family photos with her mom and dad at the university. The photos may have been intended for Christmas cards, but we sure didn’t have Christmas weather (and I am not complaining!). She took a little more coaxing than normal to smile, but once we got her going, she couldn’t stop bouncing and grinning.

Young Boy Birthday Portraits in Lethbridge [Stefan]

young boy birthday portraits in Lethbridge

One of my favourite annual traditions is photographing Stefan each year around his birthday, and now that he’s getting more tolerant of the cold weather (though not that cold for December!) we got to do most of the photos outdoors at the University’s lake this time around. That being said, his mom and I were still pretty cold. ;) Stefan’s jumping, sliding, and running around definitely contributed to keeping him warm!

His personality has really opened up this year, going from being quiet and a little shy (though always rocking silly face photos) to telling me all kinds of stories and being totally up for jumping in the air as many times as I requested. His mom and dad joined him for a few photos this time too!
