Crowsnest Pass Autumn Engagement Session [Brittany & Sam]

Crowsnest Pass autumn engagement session

Brittany was a bridesmaid in one of our favourite past weddings so I was elated when she contacted me for her own wedding! Her and Sam will be getting married in Calgary next year, so for a change of scenery beforehand we planned out a Crowsnest Pass autumn engagement session. We weren’t sure if there would be green leaves, fall colours, or a blanket of snow – you never know with the Pass – but we lucked out with a fairly calm day and AMAZING colours… we definitely picked the right weekend to do this!

Sam and Brittany love vacationing in the Pass and knew of a few good spots I’ve never checked out before (I always joke about how I never explored until I moved away from the area!). I was very glad to make use of their expertise :) Brittany and Sam have such a quiet calm about them and are so comfortable around each other. I loved watching what a great match they are.

Twin Sibling Western Photo Session [Bradley & Allison]

twin sibling western photo session

Bradley and Allison got to have their twin sibling western photo session at their grandma’s house just outside of Lethbridge. Grandma’s house had such pretty spots but more importantly, it’s where their mom and dad keep their horses boarded and we got to bring them out for photos too!

This session was made possible by a donation through the Lethbridge Twins & Triplets Club and I was excited waiting to see which twins (or triplets!) would come my way! Twins Bradley and Allison have such distinct personalities already, which was most notable when Allison told us how done she was and Bradley watched her with curiosity, wondering what ever could have made his sister so upset :) The twins looked so cute in their miniature western wear, especially Allison’s little pink cowboy boots.

Heritage Hall Autumn Wedding Ceremony [Trent & Dominika]

Trent & Dominika, Heritage Hall autumn wedding ceremony

Trent and Dominika planned a Heritage Hall autumn wedding ceremony and reception and worked beautiful fall colours into their wardrobe, flowers, and d├ęcor. Despite a morning of rain, the day turned beautiful right after they said their vows and we were able to go find all the autumn colours they had hoped for.

As Trent’s father so perfectly put it during speeches: “As long as you two keep giggling together all the time, you can get through anything.” I don’t think that Trent and Dominika will ever tire of each other’s company with how much they joke and make each other laugh. They were hilarious and since their first date involved a visit to a liquor store, we even stopped by that same store for a few silly photos on the way back.

Their daughters were so adorable in their little white dresses and probably had more fun than anyone else with how much they danced at the reception! The cupcakes definitely helped them make it through the long day they had :)

Congratulations, Trent and Dominika!

Waterton Bayshore Inn Autumn Wedding [Robert & Carla]

Robert and Carla, Waterton Bayshore Inn Autumn Wedding

Robert and Carla made sure family played a prominent part in their Waterton Bayshore Inn autumn wedding. Their wedding party was mostly made up of siblings, their small guest count gave them more time to visit with family members, and most importantly, their adorable girls were a highlight of the day and got to enjoy their own special dance with Rob in the evening. They made it obvious what their priorities are in their life together :)

They chose such a gorgeous day at the end of the season in Waterton to hold their wedding. Their orange and red colour scheme perfectly complemented the fall colours and the dwindling tourists meant we got to visit a mostly empty Red Rock Canyon!

Carla and Robert were a joy to work with. They are madly in love and busted out hilarious jokes every few minutes. Their wedding party members were so warm and generous too, so it really must run in the family.

Congratulations, Robert and Carla!

Fort Macleod Autumn Bridal Portraits [Maxinne & GJ]

Maxinne and GJ, Fort Macleod autumn bridal portraits

I had a wonderful time working with Maxinne and GJ just after their ceremony for their Fort Macleod autumn bridal portraits. They chose such a beautiful day to get married and we couldn’t have asked for better weather! Maxinne wore a stunning lace dress with long train and ivory coloured veil. Their dusty rose scheme popped out so amazing against the warm fall colours.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with a little more than half of their group before and it was a treat to meet the new additions! They are so much fun and always spend most of our time together joking and laughing. GJ and Maxinne are such a romantic couple and have found a perfect match in each other.

Congratulations, Maxinne and GJ!

Goat Mountain Getaway Autumn Wedding [Levi & Heather]

Levi and Heather, Goat Mountain Getaway Autumn Wedding

Just because you are planning a low key, intimate wedding, it doesn’t mean it can’t be elegant and gorgeously put together! Levi and Heather made great use of the rental property his parents run when they planned their Goat Mountain Getaway autumn wedding. The property was closed to vacationers for the weekend while Heather, Levi, and their closest friends and family gathered outside (and shed many happy tears) for their ceremony and reception. They could not have picked a more perfect weekend to capture the fall colours in the Crowsnest Pass. As a special touch, Levi’s father performed the ceremony (and was restricted to no more than three f-bombs!).

I loved how many amazing locations we were able to use at Goat Mountain Getaway. Although the property is fairly small, it was compressed with forests, mountain views, a teepee and even a tire swing! It was then so easy to drive a minute across the highway for the amazing views on Old Frank Road before we headed over to Lundbreck Falls.

We really appreciated being able to spend so much time with just Heather and Levi (who chose not to have a wedding party). The two of them are so madly in love and natural together, constantly melting into each other arms. Levi’s range of emotions and Heather’s ear to ear grin as she approached him in the aisle really showed how crazy they are for each other.

Congratulations, Levi and Heather!
