I love doing photos with Sara, so I was thrilled to have another session with her! She and Michel are expecting their first baby in a couple months, so they wanted to get some family photos with their dogs Goldie, Riley, and Buddy before the baby comes. After the dogs decided that photos were absolutely out of the question and it was only time to play fight, we finished off the session with some maternity photos with just Sara and Michel. Cara and Kurt are back… with two new additions to the family! We took Kennedy and the doggies out to Nicholas Sheran Lake this weekend for some playtime in the leaves. She was yet another smiley baby to add to the week and she loved the leaves so much that she stopped caring about us after we put her in them. I had such a great time working with the family again! This afternoon the sun peaked out of the clouds just in time for my photos with Liz, Aaron, and their new (since I last saw them!) little girl Amelia. Amelia is one of the most smiley babies I’ve ever met, and all I had to do was wave at her to get those huge grins. Thank you for braving the wind with me! (more…)

This last weekend I was reunited with two of the Rice boys and their families. I did both of their weddings, and now they have brand new little blue eyed boys to add to the family! We did the photos in Prince’s Island Park in downtown Calgary, and were able to easily get around all the Calgary Folk Festival attendees. I put Cassandra behind the camera this time as my assistant to generally jump around, wave her arms, shout crazy songs, and dance like a monkey for the babies. As you will see, Cassandra makes a very amusing monkey, at least according to these boys. I’m not sure I have ever seen such smiley babies. There weren’t even any meltdowns!

Erin, Blair, and baby Adora came into Lethbridge for some photos today, and we had a beautiful sunny morning to work with! Even though Adora doesn’t like to smile a ton, we got some great ones bursting out when we went to her aunty’s house for more photos. What a cutie! (more…)

Asheley, Greg, and Lola have recently welcomed baby Liam into the world and had me over at their house to capture some images of their quickly growing boy. He’s such a cutie and already totally opinionated…. By the way, this is one of those sessions where the baby cries the entire time, but as you can see he was easily tricked every once in a while ;) Everyone was very patient when he lost patience with us, and I think Lola must have taught them well because Asheley and Greg seem to be doing very awesome as first time parents :) (more…)
