For something completely different than some of my last few blog posts, I joined baby Sierra’s family last weekend to capture all the important moments of her Baptism in Cranbrook. Though the crowd of guests were a little smaller than those who had attended parents Krista and Giacomo’s wedding a few years ago, family still came from as far away as Lethbridge and Red Deer for this important occassion. Melissa, Joe, and little Maddison brought along their brand new baby Sawyer, all the way from the Crowsnest Pass, for some family pictures today! They are such a sweet, easy going family, especially Maddison who is just exploding with energy! Sawyer cried through most of the shoot, as many many many babies do, so I was happy we could catch him in those brief moments when we pulled his pacifier out :) (more…)

This afternoon I met such a sweet family! Amy, Tarek, little Zak, and big fuzzy Captain are expecting baby #2 next month and invited me over to take photos of their family just before the new addition comes. Amy and Tarek are a darling couple, Zak is adorable and full of energy, and of course I loved Captain because I loooooove big dogs! Needless to say, I had a great time! (more…)

I love following up with past wedding couples of mine, so I was excited to hear Cara and Kurt are expecting their first baby within the next month! I had a great time doing this maternity session today, and I hope I didn’t torture Kurt too much. Their dog Tigger must have remembered being in their wedding photos because he made a point of trying to pose in some of these (their cat couldn’t have cared less though).

I hadn’t seen Mia since just after her little guy Braxton was born, so it was a pleasure to join her, James, and Brax to capture their maternity photos before their second child comes. Mia is and will continue to be one hot mama! We made a studio out of their basement and I had a such a great time with them (especially tricking Braxton into the photos!) :)

I finally got to meet little Eva! I am photographing her mom and dad’s wedding this July and over the last few months I have heard lots about her… and she is such a sweet baby! She was pretty patient with us even though it was so hot and modeling can be quite tiring. Eventually she let us know she was done, and totally zonked out for the last few photos :)

I will be seeing Chris, Alisa, and Eva again very soon!
