Andy and Shannon and a canoe, a Lethbridge family session

andy shannon family lethbridge 03 Andy and Shannon and a canoe, a Lethbridge family session

I first met Andy in university, where we were both in the Fine Arts, back when he and Shannon were just getting married. They now have two healthy boys, the newest one of which was just added to the family a week earlier! We did some family photos before Finn decided we weren’t doing what he wanted (he is 2 years old, after all, and that’s just how things should be! :) ), so we shipped him out with his grandma and grandpa to focus on Hudson’s first photos.

Andy and Shannon have a gorgeous canoe that they dried off and brought into the house for photos. I have no idea how they fit it in, but I’m glad they did! Finn especially liked it when he came back for his photos, and I’m sure they had a hard time getting him out later in the day.

Congrats on your new addition to the family! (more…)

I met Doug and Kristina last year (er, last last year!), and Kristina recently contacted me to do some blended family photos for them, Sue, and their little cuties Mason and Jakob. Despite both the boys being sick or getting over flus, they were in such good spirits and so patient and easy to work with. It was definitely an easy session to come back from vacation to :) (more…)

amber family crowsnest pass 05 Chris, Amber and the kids, Crowsnest Pass family photos

I finished off my last trip to the Crowsnest Pass with some family photos of Chris, Amber, and their kids Damien, Seth, and Kaylee. They hadn’t done family photos in 5 years, and Chris and Amber hadn’t had any together with just the two of them in 14 years, so they were definitely overdue! The wind warning issued for the region had us worried, but luckily it “blew over” (har har) and we were only faced with a bit of rain, which luckily didn’t really hit until we were finished. Instead we had a gorgeous December afternoon on the Miner’s Path trail in Coleman and we had a great time… well, maybe not the boys, because I made them hug their sister a bit and that didn’t go over very well! :P (more…)

milo baby crowsnest pass 03 Milo, Teyel, and Troy Crowsnest Pass family photos

My second session last weekend in the Crowsnest Pass was with Teyel, Troy, and their new little baby Milo. Milo was yet another sweetie; he’s a little too new to the world to smile a lot, but he’s so good natured and easy going already. Teyel and Troy’s house had all kinds of neat things in it, so it was a perfect spot for their first set of family photos! (more…)

This last weekend I took a trip to the Crowsnest Pass, and had my first session with Jake. Jake was such a happy, agreeable baby, and even though he’s not a tummy baby, putting him on it still brought out tons of smiles! (more…)

trevor family lethbridge 10 Trevor and the family Lethbridge fall photos

Trevor, Jenn, Carter, and Spencer met me in the river bottom this past weekend for family photos with the very last of the autumn leaves. I did Spencer’s photos when he was brand new, years before I even worked with Trevor, and it was great to finally get to take their pictures again!

However, we started out with a problem; Spencer tripped before the first photo, got a little scrape on his hand, and was then extremely unhappy! We distracted him a bit in the beginning with a bandaid, but soon he realized what happened and there were no happy faces to be had. Trevor and Jenn seemed pretty convinced all hope was lost, but I worked my magic and I worked quick when he did smile, and you’d never know how huge of a fuss was going on behind the scenes! :) (more…)
