The Korver family brought together their three generations for one large session and we lucked out with one last beautiful Saturday! Jonathan and Valerie met up with me on what was probably the last hot day of the year for some engagement photos. What a perfect way to end wedding season! Kallie and Wallie were married at the Coast Hotel (where they also partied later that night) on the cusp of autumn, and lucky for us it stopped raining and we had a beautiful day. These two are so freaking fun; Wallie used to be a wrestler so he’s constantly performing, and Kallie is pretty good at keeping up with him! On top of that, I can’t get over how cute they are – c’mon, even their names match. I often found myself teary-eyed along with them because their stories were so sweet and the happy emotions were so high. It felt much more like spending the day with friends than working :) (more…)
Alex and Todd had a beautiful, intimate wedding with only their immediate family at the ceremony and then a party for more of their friends and family in the evening. Todd’s grandmother, Vivian, though unable to speak due to illness, was at times the life of the party – grinning wildly, enjoying champagne, and constantly giving her thumbs up when things were wonderful to her. She was such a ham in front of the camera, it was hard to get candid photos of her! The whole day was beautiful and romantic, and there was so much happiness and love among everyone. (more…)
Chris and Sheana were married in Pavan Park on an absolutely beautiful, sunny day with their closest friends and family in attendance. Jan and I got to spend a few hours with them that day and we had a great time!
Everytime I’ve met with Chris and Sheana, I’ve been so impressed with how exceptionally nice they are. And when they are together and can be all lovey, they are so absolutely sweet. They are just such a perfect match! I’m so glad I was able to share your day with you :) (more…)
Kayli graduated high school in Bow Island this weekend and I joined her for a few hours to take photos of her in her dress with her family and her boyfriend Taylor. And what a dress! I might be biased because my favorite color is purple, but it was pretty awesome :)
It was so fun to do photos in a brand new place and I always love doing photos in small towns because you can find some great old buildings with lots of character. Almost all of the photos were taken right downtown! Kayli also found a great old farm house for us to use, and I’m thrilled she was so dedicated to the art… we had to carefully step over a LOT of cow poop to do photos in there! She was so fun and laid back, making my ideas super easy to pull off. Aside from the mosquitoes (and Taylor and Kayli having to constantly slap them off each other), we had a beautiful day and the rain held back just long enough. (more…)
