Lundbreck Falls winter photos

Originally Stef and Freddie were going to do some casual portraits a few days after their wedding, but then decided, “Why not change up the seasons?” We postponed to wait for the snow and instead did Lundbreck Falls winter photos and I’m so glad we did! Everything in the Pass was beautiful, frozen, and snowy, but it was still sunny and warm enough to brave a few photos without jackets.

Knowing they love outdoor adventures really opened up our scenery options! Lundbreck Falls was, of course, coated with ice everywhere from the water spray, and later we walked through knee-deep untouched snow in Hillcrest to access the beautiful hidden creek… all of this while the icy wind pelted us with snow and water! I love that they were up for everything and it was so great to see them again.

late autumn maternity photos at University of Lethbridge lake

You might recognize Kallie and Wallie as the wonderful owners of Kapow here in Lethbridge, and soon they will be welcoming a little superhero into the world! After photographing their wedding it’s amazing to see their family grow like this. We met up at the university lake for their late autumn Lethbridge maternity photos where they brought along their super sweet dog Tehya, who will make the best big sister!

Kallie looks so gorgeous and I’m so excited to meet their baby soon!

Pavan Park Autumn Couples Session [Mavis & Jack]

Pavan Park autumn couples session

Mavis and Jack’s kids gifted them photos so they used the opportunity to have a Pavan Park autumn couples session before they head somewhere warmer for the winter. Even though they’ve been married for a while, their eyes still light up and huge smiles cover their faces when they look at each other. They are such a wonderful couple together, and such kind people.

We had a gorgeous day for photos down in the river bottom just as all the leaves started to change, and for once there wasn’t even a breeze! Mavis’s fun hair color was a perfect match for the autumn colors :)

Park Lake autumn engagement photos with bicycle

I met Sheila and Ben at a wedding earlier this summer and when they contacted me to arrange their own Park Lake autumn engagement photos, I easily remembered them because Sheila had given Ben piggyback rides throughout the day!

They are such a gorgeous couple and we were lucky to have one of the most photogenic evenings this fall at Park Lake when we met for their photos. The sunset was beautiful on that hot evening and Sheila brought along her cute vintage bicycle, which made an excellent prop for photos. I was happy that they were game when I suggested some barefoot beach photos in the closest thing to sand we have around here. Ben proved himself to be a bit of a blanket hog, but Sheila loves him despite that ;)

New Dayton Farm Engagement Photos [Lanna & Mike]

New Dayton farm engagement photos

I love when couples choose locations that are very personal to them, and for Mike and Lanna’s New Dayton farm engagement photos, they choose their own farm! After driving through a herd of fuzzy cattle, their hilltop home is surrounded by old trees, gorgeous dirt roads, and well-manicured flowers, while nearby are huge ponds and vintage trucks. We definitely had no shortage of locations to use!

Both Lanna and Mike have such great senses of humor and were so fun to spend the evening with. Lanna is especially bubbly and giggled through the whole session, making them very easy to photograph :)

Lethbridge Whoop Up Days engagement photos

Annelies was torn between doing Whoop Up Days engagement photos and using her fiancĂ© Kyle’s dairy farm as a backdrop… so why not just use both? ;)

We started out at his farm just outside of Lethbridge on a beautiful evening with golden sunlight. There were so many great spots there as we drove around (barns, beautiful old trees, an amazing corn field) and we were definitely of interest to the cows who stopped eating dinner to pose for their own photos.

When we were finished at the farm and the couple went through a quick wardrobe change, we headed back into Lethbridge to visit the Whoop Up Days fair. It’s usually tough to schedule photos to happen during the limited time the fair is here so I’m very glad we could make it work there with all the lights and bright colors.

I can’t wait for their winter wedding coming up!
