New Dayton farm engagement photos

I love when couples choose locations that are very personal to them, and for Mike and Lanna’s New Dayton farm engagement photos, they choose their own farm! After driving through a herd of fuzzy cattle, their hilltop home is surrounded by old trees, gorgeous dirt roads, and well-manicured flowers, while nearby are huge ponds and vintage trucks. We definitely had no shortage of locations to use!

Both Lanna and Mike have such great senses of humor and were so fun to spend the evening with. Lanna is especially bubbly and giggled through the whole session, making them very easy to photograph :)

Lethbridge Whoop Up Days engagement photos

Annelies was torn between doing Whoop Up Days engagement photos and using her fiancĂ© Kyle’s dairy farm as a backdrop… so why not just use both? ;)

We started out at his farm just outside of Lethbridge on a beautiful evening with golden sunlight. There were so many great spots there as we drove around (barns, beautiful old trees, an amazing corn field) and we were definitely of interest to the cows who stopped eating dinner to pose for their own photos.

When we were finished at the farm and the couple went through a quick wardrobe change, we headed back into Lethbridge to visit the Whoop Up Days fair. It’s usually tough to schedule photos to happen during the limited time the fair is here so I’m very glad we could make it work there with all the lights and bright colors.

I can’t wait for their winter wedding coming up!

Downtown Lethbridge Engagement Photos [Andrea & Graham]

downtown Lethbridge engagement photos

I had a great time working with Andrea and Graham for their downtown Lethbridge engagement photos, especially because we made the bold decision to include their cat Henry in a few photos. I had already met Henry a few times when I photographed him for the Lethbridge PAW Society, and for their session he was at his most dapper in his blue bow tie! Seeing as how you can’t really tell cats what to do, he was a great little model, even if he was a little distracted by the birds ;)

After he was safe at home, I headed downtown to City Hall with Andrea and Graham and I am grateful they climbed on fountains and in trees for me! They were amazing models and I can’t wait for their wedding this autumn.

Park Lake engagement photos

I got together again with Becky and William for Park Lake engagement photos in the summer as a complement to their winter photos. We just missed the downpour when we arrived, which made everything super green and fresh looking at the lake. This time around Becky and William went for a more casual country look that was awesome at the outdoor location. In between all the laughter they share together, these two are masters at the sensual kiss for photos ;)

I can’t wait for their wedding in a couple months!

Coleman engagement photos

Stephanie and Travis are getting married in the Crowsnest Pass next year and took advantage of Coleman engagement photos while I was down for the weekend this summer. We were joined by their very well trained dogs Luka and Lucky as a trial run to see if the dogs are well behaved enough to attend the wedding; the dogs listened so well so I think they passed the test!

It was a gorgeous morning at the Miner’s Path and finally cooled off from the rain the day before. Stephanie and Travis were great in front of the camera for their first professional photos!

Beaver Mines couple photos on farm overlooking mountains

S & K invited me out to their farm for some Beaver Mines couples photography, and I was so breath-taken by their views! With paths through trees with changing leaves, views of Crowsnest Mountain, and valleys of gorgeous brush leading into distant mountains, we had no shortage of locations to use. They are such a gorgeous couple and so obviously in love; I swear their eyes actually twinkled when they looked at each other. Unfortunately their boys were away that weekend and couldn’t join in photos, but I think that made them much more romantic :) Their old dog Dixie followed us along and loved the adventure!
