Last summer I second shot for Michael Warf a few times, and I’ve finally had a chance to go through what I captured and pick out some favorite frames!

Amy and Tim got married in gorgeous Waterton, and incorporated their dogs into the bridal party. It was a beautiful day and went by way too fast, so I spent another hour wandering around the park after we were done. Luckily, no one was attacked by deer, though we sure encountered a lot of them. The time is once again upon us where dance is all I can think about and all my weekends are spent doing it! Ammena Dance Company’s “An Explosion of World Dance and Music” 2011 will be taking place on Saturday March 5th at the Yates Memorial Centre in Lethbridge. As usual we will have a very diverse show, this year throwing in a few new genres… I might be doing a robot-inspired bellydance, but you’ll have to come to the show to find out ;)

Tickets aren’t on sale yet, but will be available at the Yates Box Office soon.

The poster was so much fun to do! We have some cabaret influences this year, as well as fabulous masks for our big bellydance number, so I wanted to work that in. Jen did an amazing job on Ammena (she definitely had a Lady Gaga thing going on), though with those big eyelashes and bedazzled lips it was hard for her to do many facial expressions :)

Jeremy and Eve were my first wedding of the year, and what a great way to start it off! They’ve been in love for quite some time now and only finally decided to tie the knot (which led to some great “It’s about time!” jokes during the ceremony). With their closest friends and family watching, they had their intimate evening ceremony in the Galt Museum. Luckily we were able to keep everything inside because it was a bit too chilly outside, but the Galt was warm and cozy.

We didn’t have much time for photos, but I had an awesome time with them when we were together. Eve is a total sweety, and I loved how Jer would randomly pull out silly faces in the photos. However, he knew just when to stop doing them so no one would get mad at him!

After the photos, Eve and Jer rejoined their family for hors d’oeuvres and music. I hope you guys had a fantastic time all night! (more…)

Each time I go to Disneyland, I intend to blog my favorite photos but never get around to it… well, no more! This time around it was a challenge to find photos of things I have never taken there before, and with a few new Christmas elements and special touches around the park (along with some inclement weather), the task was much easier than I expected! Even though it rained quite a bit, it was nice to get away from the snow for a week and have a break :) (more…)

This year’s zombie walk in Lethbridge was a huge success! We had a fantastic turnout, decent weather, and super creative costumes as always. The walk took around two hours this year, and we only lost a few of the undead along the way. While some living citizens pretended they didn’t see us, a few played along by parking near us and screaming in their cars, and a few local business employees could be seen mouthing, “OH MY GOD,” through the window as we walked by.

When Katie and Christian asked me to photograph their wedding, I was elated. In my early concert going days, I loved to watch Christian and best man Steven’s band Atrophy Manuscript, but with the band no longer together, I hardly ever run into the guys anymore. It was neat after all this time to see Christian getting married (and to such a wonderful, gorgeous girl!).

They had a small evening ceremony at the Galt Museum, so we did the photos beforehand just before the sun went down. The light was gorgeous and we couldn’t have asked for a warmer, more peaceful day. The sun set just as they walked down the aisle. Everything they arranged was beautiful, and I’m so happy they chose the time of day that they did.
