This last weekend I was reunited with two of the Rice boys and their families. I did both of their weddings, and now they have brand new little blue eyed boys to add to the family! We did the photos in Prince’s Island Park in downtown Calgary, and were able to easily get around all the Calgary Folk Festival attendees. I put Cassandra behind the camera this time as my assistant to generally jump around, wave her arms, shout crazy songs, and dance like a monkey for the babies. As you will see, Cassandra makes a very amusing monkey, at least according to these boys. I’m not sure I have ever seen such smiley babies. There weren’t even any meltdowns!
Mike and LeeAnna had a beautiful wedding at the beginning of July; we had a gorgeous day to work with and these two were radiating so much love that you couldn’t help but be totally happy around them! When I first met them I loved how cute they were and thought they had two of the most likeable personalities I’ve ever come across.
LeeAnna and Mike chose to see each other before the ceremony, which is always my favorite thing to do to get the most genuine emotions. They were so lost in each other when they first walked up and made contact that I felt bad to interupt them when it was time for posing!
When their bridal party showed up, we took everyone out to play, and Jan Tajcnar helped me out for the day for her usual sneaky paparazzi photos. (more…)
Erin, Blair, and baby Adora came into Lethbridge for some photos today, and we had a beautiful sunny morning to work with! Even though Adora doesn’t like to smile a ton, we got some great ones bursting out when we went to her aunty’s house for more photos. What a cutie! (more…)
I’m always happy when I get to see Sophia again, and this time she’s just a much bigger version of the Sophia I saw last year! I went to the Crowsnest Pass this last week to capture some photos of her just a few weeks after she turned three, and we hung out in downtown Coleman. It’s been so awesome seeing her grow up, especially now that she can have conversations and is an even bigger ham in front of the camera.
She’s definitely my new little buddy; she wanted me to come for slurpees after the session, kept insisting on riding with me instead of her mom, and had been talking about me for a few hours before we even did the photos!
Happy birthday, Sophia! (p.s. Her mommy designed an awesome zebra print cake for her birthday party. That’s definitely in my good books.) (more…)
The weather may have forced us inside, but I had a great time taking graduation photos with Zack and Amanda, as well as Zack’s mom and dad. Zack has exceptional taste, as is evident by his white tux, and Amanda’s tastes are quite outstanding as well with the choice of her gorgeous sparkley blue dress. What a good looking couple :) (more…)
I only became involved in Don and Anna’s wedding one week before it happened, and I’m so glad I was free that day because I had such a fantastic time with them! They had an intimate ceremony at St. Pat’s Church, which was full of endless cute and sweet moments, and despite a forecast calling for rain or snow, we ended up with gorgeous weather for their outdoor photos. They were both natural supermodels and I hardly had to provide any direction at all during the photo session. I spent most of our time together giggling at their antics; I love when people are willing to act silly :) (more…)
