Waterton autumn family photos

Kalina got to go for a weekend trip for Waterton autumn family photos with her mom and dad and despite the on-again, off-again rain had a great time. We were worried Kalina would get upset in the rain but instead started giggling uncontrollably when it started! It’s good she was able to enjoy herself while all the adults were soggy and cold ;) She loved checking out the fallen leaves and got the best snuggles from Jen and David to keep her toasty and warm.

Waterton was gorgeous for its last official weekend of the year and unusually warm despite the rain. What a perfect day for fall colours! The small crowds gave us time to visit both Cameron Falls and Linnett Lake that day.

Helen Schuler mother daughter photo session

Laurie was given a wonderful gift of photos from her friends and used to opportunity to schedule a Helen Schuler mother daughter photo session with her mother Julia. It was sooooo hot out but we stayed in the cool breeze under the full summery trees in the river bottom at the nature reserve. Laurie and Julia have such an amazing bond and I’m so happy they could get these photos done together! Laurie is so doting to her mother and I loved seeing them break out in giggles every time I asked them to look at each other. I’m glad you guys endured the heat with me!

Lethbridge late autumn family photos

It’s been a delight watching Avery grow up this year as I’ve photographed her family at various milestones. I can’t believe she’s already sitting up on her own and having some cute little teeth pop out! This time we got to focus on her for Lethbridge late autumn family photos with her mom and dad at the university. The photos may have been intended for Christmas cards, but we sure didn’t have Christmas weather (and I am not complaining!). She took a little more coaxing than normal to smile, but once we got her going, she couldn’t stop bouncing and grinning.

Indian Battle Park fall morning session

I have been happily watching Amber and Ian’s family grow since I photographed their wedding my very first year I started my business. I feel like it wasn’t that long ago, but how big the kids are getting tells me otherwise! The kids have grown up so much since the last time I saw them and they’re now at the perfect age to follow all the directions I throw at them for photos. We met down in the river bottom for their Indian Battle Park fall morning session on a beautiful day and had a bit of time left over at the end for a playground party.

Indoor Family Christmas Photos [Elora, Thomas & Darby]

indoor family Christmas photos

It was great to see Elora, Darby and Thomas again for their indoor family Christmas photos at their home in Lethbridge. This will be the last family session with just the three of them as they are welcoming baby number two into the house in a couple months. Thomas joked that not only have I documented their family growing, I have also documented his hair growing! I insisted he better have a waist length beard the next time they do family photos ;)

Elora was adorable in her pretty red dress, which looked so great against their Christmas tree. She was so tolerant of all the silly ways we were propping her up but when she did get fussy, a little bit of singing from her dad and cuddles from mom cheered her right back up.

Young Boy Birthday Portraits in Lethbridge [Stefan]

young boy birthday portraits in Lethbridge

One of my favourite annual traditions is photographing Stefan each year around his birthday, and now that he’s getting more tolerant of the cold weather (though not that cold for December!) we got to do most of the photos outdoors at the University’s lake this time around. That being said, his mom and I were still pretty cold. ;) Stefan’s jumping, sliding, and running around definitely contributed to keeping him warm!

His personality has really opened up this year, going from being quiet and a little shy (though always rocking silly face photos) to telling me all kinds of stories and being totally up for jumping in the air as many times as I requested. His mom and dad joined him for a few photos this time too!
