Attila and Chaylene were married this month in a romantic ceremony at the Lethbridge Lodge, which their family traveled across Canada to attend. They were absolutely adorable with how in love they are; halfway through the vows, they got so emotional that they had to pause for a hug! It was a beautiful day and everything went perfectly how they planned it. And what an easy day for me; they are ridiculously photogenic! (more…)
Alex and Todd had a beautiful, intimate wedding with only their immediate family at the ceremony and then a party for more of their friends and family in the evening. Todd’s grandmother, Vivian, though unable to speak due to illness, was at times the life of the party – grinning wildly, enjoying champagne, and constantly giving her thumbs up when things were wonderful to her. She was such a ham in front of the camera, it was hard to get candid photos of her! The whole day was beautiful and romantic, and there was so much happiness and love among everyone. (more…)
What a treat to do this wedding! I’ve casually known Kim for quite a few years now, but we were more online friends even though we lived in the same city. Then she moved away, and met Peter, and fell in love! I was a little gushy to learn that they met on an online dating site because (1) that’s a great way to fall for someone’s personality first, and (2) that’s how Cam and I met :)
Though the two are based out of Calgary/Edmonton now, they wanted to have a cute small town wedding and spent many months looking for just the right place. They settled on Rosebud, Alberta, which is pretty much the cutest small town I have ever seen. Everything is extremely well maintained and it has a thriving art scene despite being nearly in the middle of no where. As luck would have it, some classic car enthusiasts were having a get together in Rosebud that day and offered their chauffeur services at no charge. So generous!
Since Peter is an actor and both are huge music enthusiasts, their intimate wedding was full of artists, actors, and musicians (my kind of people!) and everyone was so warm and generous that it didn’t take long for me to feel like family. Though their family is grown up and many have moved away, the Walton family was all together this weekend once again! I met up with Frank and Donna, their four boys, and their mini families to give them a much needed update to their old family photos. Aside from the usual teasing brothers do to each other, they got along so great and instantly started goofing around whenever they had to get in close together. We had a beautiful day and with such a good looking family, it wasn’t very hard to take their photos :) (more…)
Remember this cuteness? Well, it’s been a few years and they have a new baby brother, and they’ve both become quite a bit taller! I met up with the family at the always awesome Sun Ridge playground and let the girls play while the rest of us chased after them. Kids do such awesome things when you aren’t placing any expectations on them (or they think you aren’t looking!). (more…)
I always love working with this family! The entire family came together – all four brothers, their families, the parents, and even an uncle – over the long weekend in Waterton Lakes National Park, and I met up with them on Sunday to get photos of everyone together. The little boys are a lot taller since I last saw them, but sadly not as smiley this time since Hayden was recovering from a fever, and after pulling on Carson’s eyelid as soon as we started, they didn’t enjoy being near each other very much!
Waterton was kind of crazy (I guess I’ve never been there on a long weekend before) so we were limited with locations and couldn’t drive anywhere else, but we found a few awesome spots behind their cabin.
It’s been so fun to watch this family grow, and now with a new baby on the way and an engagement (that happened right before I showed up!) it’s getting even bigger! And now onto even more blue eyes than before… (more…)
