Amanda’s second baby is on the way soon, and she wanted to do a stylish photo shoot to celebrate! We turned her house in a mini-photo studio and she picked out an amazing, flattering wardrobe to show off her tummy. I’m also proud of her for balancing in her high heels because that can be challenging enough when you aren’t packing a little person along with you :) (more…)
I first met Andy in university, where we were both in the Fine Arts, back when he and Shannon were just getting married. They now have two healthy boys, the newest one of which was just added to the family a week earlier! We did some family photos before Finn decided we weren’t doing what he wanted (he is 2 years old, after all, and that’s just how things should be! :) ), so we shipped him out with his grandma and grandpa to focus on Hudson’s first photos.
Andy and Shannon have a gorgeous canoe that they dried off and brought into the house for photos. I have no idea how they fit it in, but I’m glad they did! Finn especially liked it when he came back for his photos, and I’m sure they had a hard time getting him out later in the day.
Congrats on your new addition to the family! (more…)
Jeremy and Eve were my first wedding of the year, and what a great way to start it off! They’ve been in love for quite some time now and only finally decided to tie the knot (which led to some great “It’s about time!” jokes during the ceremony). With their closest friends and family watching, they had their intimate evening ceremony in the Galt Museum. Luckily we were able to keep everything inside because it was a bit too chilly outside, but the Galt was warm and cozy.
We didn’t have much time for photos, but I had an awesome time with them when we were together. Eve is a total sweety, and I loved how Jer would randomly pull out silly faces in the photos. However, he knew just when to stop doing them so no one would get mad at him!
After the photos, Eve and Jer rejoined their family for hors d’oeuvres and music. I hope you guys had a fantastic time all night! (more…)
I met Doug and Kristina last year (er, last last year!), and Kristina recently contacted me to do some blended family photos for them, Sue, and their little cuties Mason and Jakob. Despite both the boys being sick or getting over flus, they were in such good spirits and so patient and easy to work with. It was definitely an easy session to come back from vacation to :) (more…)
Michelle caught me just in time! Only an hour before I left for a Christmas vacation, I met up with her, her husband Dion, and their kids Steph and Derrick for a much anticipated family session. Both kids are grown up and have moved away, so getting them all together again for Christmas was a big deal for the family. They were so much fun and so easy to make laugh, and luckily the morning wasn’t as cold as some had been (though I did almost fall through snowbanks several times, so it’s a good thing I don’t weigh too much or I may have gotten lost in the snow!).
I hope you guys had a great Christmas together again! (more…)
I finished off my last trip to the Crowsnest Pass with some family photos of Chris, Amber, and their kids Damien, Seth, and Kaylee. They hadn’t done family photos in 5 years, and Chris and Amber hadn’t had any together with just the two of them in 14 years, so they were definitely overdue! The wind warning issued for the region had us worried, but luckily it “blew over” (har har) and we were only faced with a bit of rain, which luckily didn’t really hit until we were finished. Instead we had a gorgeous December afternoon on the Miner’s Path trail in Coleman and we had a great time… well, maybe not the boys, because I made them hug their sister a bit and that didn’t go over very well! :P (more…)
