Galt Museum portrait photography

I had a great time with Nicole for her portrait photography session at the Galt Museum. She is so friendly and sweet, and we had absolutely no trouble chatting through her whole session! Nicole wanted to give her family some updated photos of herself as a gift, and hopefully get them to forget about her big 90s hair she had the last time she did professional photos ;)

Nicole was a natural in front of the camera and had such a great giggly smile. It was a pleasure to work with you, Nicole!

Late Autumn Lethbridge Wedding [Trevor & Andrea]

Trevor & Andrea, late autumn Lethbridge wedding

It’s been quite a few years since I met them for his sister’s wedding, but I finally got to see Trevor’s family again when it was his turn to tie the knot! He and Andrea got married near Park Lake and had the whole family meet at the farm for photos. It was quite windy that day so we’re lucky no one blew away ;)

The farm has such beautiful, rustic spots for photos and I was thrilled to be able to shoot there again. The old barn is far enough away from everyone that Trevor and Andrea were able to have some romantic alone time (well, as romantic as it can be with two photographers spying on them!).

When we were finished at the farm, they headed to Lethbridge in the awesome old truck they borrowed. It very conveniently matched their wedding colors! Trevor and Andrea picked beautiful colors for late autumn Lethbridge wedding photos, choosing gray with bright orange accents.

We had fun with the bridal party at the Galt Museum, then they had a moment of not-so-fun when the truck wouldn’t start… but luckily it came through for them and we made it down to Pavan Park to take advantage of the autumn colors :)

Congratulations, Trevor & Andrea!

Galt Museum Spring Engagement Session [Jamie & Willem]

Galt Museum Spring Engagement Session

I’m really looking forward to Jamie and Willem’s wedding this autumn after working with his sister so many times, including for her own wedding. Jamie and Willem are a super cute couple and are actually taller than me! :) We did their spring engagement session outside of the Galt Museum right after the rain cleared up for the day and had some beautiful, dramatic clouds in the background.

Willem did pretty good with the photos considering we kept having to hide his crutches from an injury a few days before, but with Jamie to lean on he did just fine! It’s almost symbolic, right? :)

Lethbridge maternity photos in at sunset, couple with dog

Kelsey and Jess were expecting their first baby this autumn and came into Lethbridge for the evening (with their fur baby Tin, of course!) to celebrate with some maternity photos. They are going to be such a cute family and I couldn’t wait to meet the little baby! We had such a beautiful night and for once it didn’t rain, so the setting sun was gorgeous. Tin was one of the most laid back, well behaved dogs I’ve ever worked with too… man, did they all make my job easy! :) (more…)

Matthew & Kristyn | Lethbridge Wedding Photography

Monday, July 15th, 2013

I first met Kristyn without Matthew present, but from the way she talked about him, I could tell she was so head over heels for him. Seeing them together completely confirmed it and then some! They are so adorably sweet together. The way their eyes lit up when they saw each other from opposite ends of the aisle really filled the room.

I was especially excited when I found out Kristyn was planning an Alice in Wonderland theme to her wedding, and with that being my favorite Disney movie, I could barely wait! They did an amazing job with their blue teapot themed candy table, Crazy Cakes provided a beautiful spread of Wonderland-themed cupcakes (and an adorable Chesire Cat giant cupcake as the main cake), and the book touches throughout the tables made a gorgeous accent.

They had a great party at the Galt where everyone danced all night (especially all the kids who totally stole the show) and welcomed in a perfect start to their life together.

Congratulations, Kristyn and Matthew! (more…)
