Just before Christmas, Tracy rounded up her parents and siblings for some chilly family photos in Indian Battle Park. And when I say chilly, I mean -20C chilly! They were such good sports and in great spirits despite how cold it was, so we all powered through it together. At least they got to hug a lot for some extra body heat! (more…)
Now this is one tough family… despite how cold it was, they dressed for photos rather than the weather! Danny, Sacha, Rainy, and Jayden were wonderful to work with; they were so sweet, and they were amazing actors to pretend it was warmer than it was (between photos, there were a lot of chattering teeth!). Shylow rounded up her siblings Jenn and Brandon for some surprise Christmas photos for their parents, so I’ve had to wait over a month to share these! Too long! I met Arieke a few years ago when she was a bridesmaid for her friend Gerda, and I was so happy to hear that she was engaged herself! Her and Kyle planned a gorgeous wedding and made sure we had lots of time for photos with them and their friends. Jan and I had so much fun with them all day and it went by so quickly! I was warned that Kyle doesn’t like having his picture taken, but I don’t believe them after how happy he always was around Arieke :) Those smiles took no coaxing at all!
Later I was so happy to be able to steal them away from their reception for a while for some beautiful portraits at dusk :)

Cindy and David have made it a custom to have a family photo taken just before each of their children get married, so I met up with them and their family just a few weeks before Arieke & Kyle’s wedding. It was wonderful to watch how close they all were and how they completely lit up in each other’s company :) (more…)
What an awesome start to the wedding season! Greg and Jessica got married on a blustery but otherwise beautiful afternoon (hey, it’s Lethbridge, we expect that!) with their family and friends there to support them. Everyone was so full of joy and so fun to photograph. Greg and Jessica are so sweet together, and as soon as they saw each other you could see any stress instantly melt away.
Everything they picked out for their big day was gorgeous, and even later in the night when people get tired, everyone was full of energy and still having a great time.
