As I mentioned in the previous entry, when doing the photos for the last issue of ArtsBridge I was asked to shoot within the theme of the interaction between the environment, arts, and science, and immediately the big windmills throughout Southern Alberta came to mind. I dragged Marie out towards Cardston just before sunset and made her repeatedly jump for me :)

Though the publication was in black and white, the colors that evening were so rich and saturated, so I’m excited to show the color versions of the images.

The weather may have forced us inside, but I had a great time taking graduation photos with Zack and Amanda, as well as Zack’s mom and dad. Zack has exceptional taste, as is evident by his white tux, and Amanda’s tastes are quite outstanding as well with the choice of her gorgeous sparkley blue dress. As you can see, I am still catching up on a few things! Back in December the JPS Trio invited all their fans out to Henotic to take part in the filming of their first music video, done by the multi-talented Dan Berdusco of Lethbridge Link. The cameras stayed rolling all night while the crowd danced to to the band’s energetic set of originals and a few funky covers. The band is hoping to get this video onto MuchMusic, so wish them luck! I’m a little late on posting these, but last month I did some band shots for the JPS Trio. I wanted to include in this post that they were filming a video at Henotic tonight, but sadly it was canceled due to one member catching “that thing that’s going around.” Ugh oh!

This weekend I somehow managed to sneak in some time to shoot my co-worker Mike, who found some cool b&w shots of Lebron James he wanted to emulate… and has a girl he wants to impress and send some photos to :)

Last weekend I second shot a wedding for Michael Warf in Calgary, and it gave me a chance to spend the next day with my friend Brad who will be moving to Vancouver soon. Brad is an actor and a crazy fun to hang out with, and I just had to do one more shoot with him before he heads West. We hit up Inglewood, and only slightly got in the way of a wedding party (and many pigeons).
