Melanie and Doug came in from the Crowsnest Pass with their adorable boys Landon and Pearson, and we had quite a stroke of luck… during the photos it was warm and beautiful outside, but just a few hours later a horrible wind storm hit and my area of town was nearly evacuated for risk of fires! I’m very glad they had time in the morning for photos!

The boys did great (thanks to a few breaks where they could frantically run around) and Pearson’s toy truck saved the day in a few photos. It’s great to see brothers get along so well so that I can get them to hug without any fighting :)

Baby GQ, maybe?

Sharon and Chet got all of their grandchildren together for a family photo session just before Christmas. The kids were all adorable and I loved the color scheme they chose, which happened to work so well with our location! Even though two of the girls were sick at the time, they did great and held out long enough for the photos we needed :)

Tausha and her children Conner, Kamryn, and Nashton met me at the beautiful Galt Museum for some family Christmas photos (and brought along an awesome star prop). They are such a cute family and I love how well she co-ordinated them, especially for their red/black/gray color scheme. The red shoes were worth all the pain they put her in :)

It’s the nieces again! Taylor and Madison have grown so much in the past year – Taylor even took her first few steps on her own recently! JJ and Shaun brought them out for a morning of playing in the leaves and they are all so cute together. It’s so nice to see that the sisters totally love each other (or at least they acted that way around me!). It was great to see you all again!

Shari and Garett go back to nearly the beginning of my photography career; I second shot their wedding with Hope only half a year after starting at that studio. Now they have a little family with their daughter Ava, who is an adorable, smiley, curly-haired girl but with all the stubbornness of the average two year old :)
Photos involved a lot of chasing her and as usual with kids that age, we tricked her into all kinds of photos!

I see Lori all the time at work, but it’s been a few years since I did photos of her and Luka and he has grown so much in that time! For example, he listens a lot better to instructions… though part of the time, only to mine ;)

We brought his dad Brent along this time and did some family photos of the three of them. They have really awesome bikes so I suggested we incorporate them into the photos, and I’m so glad we did!

I love the bratty eyes.

Luka had been very intrigued by my zombie portraits, so we did one of him at the end. It took a bit of coaxing, but we finally found his inner zombie.
