Landon and Pearson are a year older since I last saw them, which means they’ve had a lot of time to perfect their strangle hug they like to do :) Melanie and Doug brought them in for the day and we had a beautiful afternoon for photos; luckily just enough snow melted that we got to see the crunchy autumn leaves again! It’s been over a year since I’ve seen Dominic, so I could barely recognize him with how much he’s grown since then! He was so laid back at our session… until we tried to play in the snow! He definitely feels the same way about winter as I do ;) (more…)

Look at him grow! I met up with Stetson and his mom a few months after his 6 month session, and he’s gotten so much taller and is already trying to walk! He can pull himself up on his own and easily walk with the assistance of toys, so I expect his mom to be chasing him before he even turns one. He got a little more cranky at us this time around, but with new teeth poking through, you can’t blame the guy! All it took was some snow time and he was grinning again :) (more…)

I love this family! I’ve taken photos of Dean, Paula, and their kids a few times now and it’s always so much fun. I am always amazed by how those girls can run! This was our first time taking photos since little Reed learned how to walk (er, run) so catching him was a challenge, and we definitely had to trick him into photos with his sisters. I’m so glad they trusted me to take them somewhere in the wind that wasn’t in the coulees (and we didn’t even blow away!) :) (more…)

I was contacted by Courtney a little while ago with a great idea: to round up her four generations of family for a beautiful session to honor her grandparents. There was just so much joy in this family and their smiles were contagious. They were so animated that even little Evelyn, who was grumpy from fighting off a cold, ended up in great spirits and had just as much fun as everyone else. The way John still looked at Mathilda after all these years completely melted my heart :) (more…)

Uh oh, the girls are now 2 and 3! This year we had to get a lot of action shots of them because sitting still just won’t do for Taylor! :) Maddie is so great at looking after her little sister, but I think even she can’t keep up all the time. JJ and Shaun are definitely honing their skills at wrangling the girls and I appreciated their patience while I chased everyone around through the leaves :) (more…)
