Melanie and Doug came in from the Crowsnest Pass with their adorable boys Landon and Pearson, and we had quite a stroke of luck… during the photos it was warm and beautiful outside, but just a few hours later a horrible wind storm hit and my area of town was nearly evacuated for risk of fires! I’m very glad they had time in the morning for photos!

The boys did great (thanks to a few breaks where they could frantically run around) and Pearson’s toy truck saved the day in a few photos. It’s great to see brothers get along so well so that I can get them to hug without any fighting :) (more…)

Sharon and Chet got all of their grandchildren together for a family photo session just before Christmas. The kids were all adorable and I loved the color scheme they chose, which happened to work so well with our location! Even though two of the girls were sick at the time, they did great and held out long enough for the photos we needed :) (more…)

Barbara and Pearce were in town visiting their daughter/sister Rachel, so they decided to get some family photos taken! The siblings were so giggly together and it was so easy to see the love between the three of them. Kudos to them for being brave enough to go out in the wind for a few photos! (more…)

Cassandra was fabulous to work with (and not just because she owns a ton of zebra print, though that definitely helps sway my opinion!). Her extensive clothing collection made it difficult to narrow down a wardrobe, but once we did she was such a natural in front of the camera and looks stunning. The gorgeous artwork in her bedroom was the perfect backdrop, though I had to make use of her kitchen floor since it matched her piercing blue eyes so well.

Tausha and her children Conner, Kamryn, and Nashton met me at the beautiful Galt Museum for some family Christmas photos (and brought along an awesome star prop). They are such a cute family and I love how well she co-ordinated them, especially for their red/black/gray color scheme. The red shoes were worth all the pain they put her in :) (more…)

Jan and I can never seem to get our schedules to match anymore, so it’s always a treat on the rare occasions we can work together! I was able to second shoot for her at Seth and Ashley’s wedding, out on his family’s farm near Vauxhall. I started out when the guys were getting ready (Jan was out with the girls), then Jan posed everyone while I crept around and took paparazzi photos :) (more…)
