I always love photographing Kelsie! I haven’t seen her in a long time, so it was great to catch up and see her and her mom Heidi. After a couple solid days of rain, the clouds lifted just in time for little CJ to get some family photos done! I met up with Shane, Tara, and CJ, along with their little “foxy” dog Nikko by the river in Hillcrest. It was such a beautiful spot, I wish I could do so many more photos there! CJ really wanted to display her independence, but we found a few tricks to keep her interested in the photo session. (more…)
It’s getting hard to deny that I’m an “adult” now that my best friends from childhood are having babies! Tennille welcomed her first into the world a few months ago when Ava was born to her and Jim. Ava looks soooo much like Tennille at times it’s scary, but I guess there is no denying who her momma is. It was great to see them now as a family and they are so radiant with happiness :) (more…)
It’s been too long since I’ve seen Rachel, so it was great to have a chance to catch up with her while we did photos! I finally got to meet her boyfriend of five years, Pat, though she had talked about him tons before that. They are so great together and are expecting a baby in the new year. What a perfect way to end wedding season! Kallie and Wallie were married at the Coast Hotel (where they also partied later that night) on the cusp of autumn, and lucky for us it stopped raining and we had a beautiful day. These two are so freaking fun; Wallie used to be a wrestler so he’s constantly performing, and Kallie is pretty good at keeping up with him! On top of that, I can’t get over how cute they are – c’mon, even their names match. I often found myself teary-eyed along with them because their stories were so sweet and the happy emotions were so high. It felt much more like spending the day with friends than working :) (more…)
Christian contacted me a little while ago to do photos of her and her boyfriend Riley with a “country theme,” which was super fun because I often try to make Lethbridge look more forested than it actually is and ignore what we have here!
Though they’ve only been serious for a year, they’ve known each other since middle school… aw! I can’t believe they were nervous about having photos taken; I mean, look at them! They just ooze cuteness. This blog post ended up being longer than my portrait ones normally are because I couldn’t narrow them down to just a few that I liked! :) (more…)
