Lethbridge Winter Adult Family Photos

Just in time before the blizzard! Keltie, Heath, and Jasmyn got together with me for their Christmas family photos this past winter and brought along their fur babies Louie and Sophie. The family was so wonderfully coordinated and looked gorgeous :) They picked such a great color scheme of red, gray, and black to pop out against the subdued winter landscape, and the University of Lethbridge lake was a perfect spot.

Even though the dogs were over-excited by visiting a new place, I was happy to find they thought all of my sound effects were very interesting and were easy to get looking at me! They had a few frightful moments (I AM pretty big next to a Chihuahua!) but were pretty easy to calm down with cuddles. (more…)

Pavan Park Autumn Couples Session [Lisa & Trent (with Coco!)]

Pavan Park Autumn Couples Session

Lisa and Trent decided to have a late autumn couples session done with their fur baby Coco in Pavan Park and I had such a great time with them. They are such genuinely nice people and were a joy to be around. I love seeing couples who are so perfect for each other like the two of them are.

Coco has soooo much energy and luckily they brought her favorite ball to keep her distracted throughout photos… all we needed to do to get Lisa and Trent on their own was throw the ball! Sometimes the best way to get Coco involved in a photo was to just let her photo bomb the pose, and she was pretty good at knowing exactly where to stand. By the end, her pace was noticeably slower and her tongue hung out a mile :)

Fun Lethbridge weddings and portrait photography

I’ve known Audrey for a while through the wonderful work she does with the Lethbridge PAW Society but only finally got to meet her in person for her own family photos! Her family treated her to a family session for her birthday, mostly in the comfort of their home so we could include a few of the kitties she had living with them. Their house had some really cute spots for photos, especially the glass work when you first enter!

Crowsnest Pass winter maternity session

It is always so amazing watching the people I grew up with move through such huge milestones in their lives. Erika and Josh’s wedding was a big one for me, and now they have had their first baby! I am so happy and excited for them and it was obvious they are feeling those same things; they were radiating so much positivity at their Crowsnest Pass mountain maternity session. Even as we walked between locations, they couldn’t help but discuss big plans for their little girl (like how she totally needs a tree house to play with her dolls)!

I’m so excited to get to meet little Molly very soon!

Happy grandparent & grandchildren portraits in Lethbridge

Mayte and I see each other all the time for photos. She is a regular foster mom for the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society so I often get to have fun puppy play dates with her. Even though I’ve spent lots of time doing photos with Mayte for all of the puppies she fosters, this was the very first time her and her family got to be the subjects! We did their joyful, happy grandparent and grandchildren portraits in Lethbridge early in the winter in the not-yet-snowy Indian Battle Park.

Mayte, her husband George, and their dog Tango met me for photos on their own to start off their session. They managed to get some romantic cuddle time in even with Tango running around like crazy. Once we were finished with the photos of the couple and their pup, we were then joined by their four adorable grandchildren. They were so much fun to work with and I think Tango loved his adventure because he managed to find some pretty big sticks in the river bottom! (more…)

Young woman with brown horse in Lethbridge

Just a few days after her sister’s wedding, I got to photograph Carissa again but this time with her beautiful horse Ruby Tuesday. We already had to reschedule once because of the crazy wind, so we were very lucky on our second try with beautiful weather! Ruby was energetic and all about doing her own thing, then ironically calmed down when we took her in the stables with all the really excited horses; she must have been trying to set a good example for them :) (more…)
