Tess & Rae | Lethbridge Sister Portraits

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

I’ve known Tess for a few years through dance, and when her sister Rae was recently in town, they decided to have a photo session together. We had to fake a bit of the “sisterly love” but I’m sure mom will be happy about that :) (more…)

Play time! Candid Lethbridge photos

Thursday, August 11th, 2011

Remember this cuteness? Well, it’s been a few years and they have a new baby brother, and they’ve both become quite a bit taller! I met up with the family at the always awesome Sun Ridge playground and let the girls play while the rest of us chased after them. Kids do such awesome things when you aren’t placing any expectations on them (or they think you aren’t looking!). (more…)

Michelle, Dion, and the kids – Lethbride family photos

Monday, January 3rd, 2011

Michelle caught me just in time! Only an hour before I left for a Christmas vacation, I met up with her, her husband Dion, and their kids Steph and Derrick for a much anticipated family session. Both kids are grown up and have moved away, so getting them all together again for Christmas was a big deal for the family. They were so much fun and so easy to make laugh, and luckily the morning wasn’t as cold as some had been (though I did almost fall through snowbanks several times, so it’s a good thing I don’t weigh too much or I may have gotten lost in the snow!).

I hope you guys had a great Christmas together again! (more…)

The Pollock Family – Lethbridge Family Photos

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

Last week, Cassandra rounded up her parents and sister for a long overdue family photography session (they hadn’t had one since the girls were quite young). It was an excellent time of year as I love red hair against autumn colors, though I must admit it was strange to photograph Cassandra in such normal circumstances; no zombie makeup, outrageous outfits, or hanging from strange structures, just natural photos for once!

I’ve been around the Pollock family on numerous occassions, but it wasn’t until our photo session that I truly realized just how silly they all are. If you are looking for “traditional” family photos, you came to the wrong place… (more…)

The Sisters

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

I’m happy I can finally post these now that their mom has seen them! Just before Christmas Pam, Jamie, Stephanie, and Robyn got together for a photo shoot to surprise their mom with. I had an awesome time with these girls, especially because I used to taiko drum with Pam and her mom (back when I had more spare time!), and took a few drama classes with Jamie in university, so it was nice to see everyone again! These girls were a riot and it was so easy to get the most genuine bursts of laughter from them. Since it was pretty cold outside, like every day lately, we did the photos inside Lethbridge’s gorgeous Galt Museum before braving another couple minutes of photography outside in Galt Gardens. Vegas (Part II) – Erin and Krista

Sunday, March 8th, 2009

I really wanted to do a photo shoot when I went to Las Vegas, so I was thrilled to find out Erin would be there while I was, along with one of her sisters, Krista, and her mom, Verna. I photographed Erin’s wedding to Jonathan last summer with Litwin Photography, and will be shooting her sister Bethany’s wedding this upcoming summer (my last Litwin booking), so I’ve come to know the family quite well!

Verna didn’t want to be in the photos, but Krista was easy to talk into doing a few with her sister. In my limited location scouting time, I picked out the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace as our location, and was really glad I did! In under an hour we shot outside AND on all three levels of that part of the mall, so we got tons of awesome shots.

Ideally, I would have kicked all the other people out of the area and gotten some cool photos on the spiral escalators, but well… maybe one day when I’m famous and have that sort of pull ;)

I was also really disappointed that no one else tried to jump into our photos like when Sarah and I did our shoot! I guess this time, we shot too early in the evening for passerbys to be drunk!

Thanks, girls, for being my models!
