Jessica & Josiah, Lethbridge Trinity Reformed Church Wedding

Just one day after second shooting for Melanie, I got to do it again with Kassey from Red Tree Photography! This time we had a Trinity Reformed Church wedding with Jessica and Josiah, who met at college and fell in love. Josiah’s family travelled from Ontario to meet Jessica’s Alberta family and have their beautiful ceremony at Jess’s family’s church.

Jessica and Josiah looked amazing, especially with her flower crown and his red bow tie. We took the wedding party to Indian Battle Park for portraits after the ceremony, then just the bride and groom downtown before heading to their reception at the Coast Hotel.

Congratulations, Jess and Josiah!

Waterton Lakes Summer Family Photos [Julia & Her Abuelas]

Waterton Lakes summer family photos

Julia got to experience some very special Waterton Lakes summer family photos when both of her abuelas came from Brazil to visit Canada! Her family wanted to show them some of the best Southern Alberta had to offer during their stay and it’s hard to beat the beauty of Waterton.

We started our photos at the Prince of Wales Hotel where it was just as windy as usual! Julia thought the wind was fun and constantly made airplane arms into it. Julia had so much fun playing with her grandmothers. I’m not sure who made the other smile more! They were so joyful to spend time with their sweet little grand daughter, doing all kinds of singing and dancing together.

Pavan Park Summer Family Photos [Lucas & Shayna]

Pavan Park summer family photos

We had a bit of trouble getting things going for Lucas and Shayna’s Pavan Park summer family photos with their parents. The first day we were ready to go in the parking lot when a thunder storm hit! A few weeks later we tried again and had a beautiful evening in the river bottom that wasn’t too hot. :)

I last saw Lucas when he was a couple years old. He’s pretty happy to have a little sister to play with now! He’s well on his way to teaching her important life skills like blowing raspberry sounds. They both had a great time chasing their big dog Bear around Pavan Park. He is so patient with them and loves exploring with his family. At our last session, he ended up going for a swim halfway through the photos. This time we managed to keep him dry ;)

Coaldale family farm photos

Due to some travel delays amongst their children, George and Sharon hadn’t been able to get a proper family photo at their daughter’s wedding last autumn. They made up for it this summer with Coaldale family farm photos at their beautiful home. Most of the kids don’t like having their photo taken, but I think they did a pretty good job getting through it to make their mom happy :)

Pincher Creek cabin family photos

It’s been a few years since both of their children’s weddings so it was great to get together with Barry and Linda’s family again! They were spending the weekend at their cabin in Southern Alberta and figured it was time for some updated family photos while everyone was together. Barry built the cabin near Pincher Creek himself and it’s been a treasured family getaway spot over the years. As the family has grown with marriage, they’ve only added more laughter and love to their weekends away. Although the mountain views from the property were obstructed with smoke, the view from on top of their hill was still incredible!

Henderson Lake family photos

Cyndy and Austin are always a joy to photograph, and it’s even better now that Amara is included! This was my first time meeting their cute little girl and she was so fun to work with. They came down to Lethbridge for Henderson Lake family photos and brought along Amara’s cousin and uncle.

Amara is going to be tall like her mom. She already rivals her cousin Liam in height even though he is a couple years older than her (and he even shares those tall genes!). The kids love playing together and share a strong interest in Paw Patrol ;)

Amara is more the quiet, giggly type, while Liam is all about finding where the action is happening. He had a great time in the park running between the trees and letting his dad swoop him up!
