Outdoor Lethbridge Winter Maternity Session [Denzele & Brook]

outdoor Lethbridge winter maternity session

Denzele and Brook were in town for a temporary work stay while they were expecting their first baby, so we got together for an outdoor Lethbridge winter maternity session before they headed home for the baby’s arrival. Aperture Lake at the university was gorgeous the day of our session; there was no snow but everything had a crisp winter look, and a few leaves had even hung around!

These two were such a cute couple and you could feel so much passion between them; there is definitely going to be so much love in their new family and that is going to be one good looking baby ;)

Fun Lethbridge weddings and portrait photography

Shyanne and Darren came to visit family in Lethbridge and took the opportunity to do their indoor winter family photos during their stay, thanks to an awesome gift from Shyanne’s mom. I met up with them and their two boys, Royce and Dominic, at the University of Lethbridge. This was a very special place as it’s where Shyanne and Darren first met!

Dominic was super giggly and cuddly while Royce was full of so much happy energy; in between photos, he had a great time bouncing around on his rubber ball! Their grandma sang all kinds of songs to get Dominic’s big grins, but soon he figured out there was a catch and was a little more watchful of us ;)

fun Calgary engagement photos

It was so great to finally meet Jori and Shawn! We’ve been doing all of their wedding planning long distance from two different cities but I was able to make the trip up for their really fun Calgary engagement photos, which happened to fall on our record breaking warm “Junuary” weekend.

At first the two of them seem a little shy, but give them a few moments together and they are openly silly and adorable together! I lost count of the number of times Shawn made Jori burst out in laughter during the photos. This session had so many fun surprises: cats, dinosaurs, and acrobatics! We started out the session in their house then wandered over to Jori’s favorite playground where she got to show off her impressive skills, which you will see below :)

I can’t wait for their wedding this summer!

CASA winter engagement photos

Becky and William got an early start on planning their autumn wedding for next year and took care of their Casa winter engagement photos as soon as possible. They are so ridiculously cute together and make such a great couple! They have great senses of humors and were so laid back for the session. We were all well behaved and didn’t photobomb the news segment being aired there even though we joked about it ;)

At the end, we couldn’t forget about the pretty snow and snuck outside for a few final pictures.

Lethbridge winter wedding

This post is a little late, but Lorelei had first dibs on showing the photos :)

Last December I had the pleasure of second shooting for Lorelei Hoffarth for Jennifer and David’s snowy Lethbridge winter wedding. It was extremely cold that day so we mostly stuck indoors with Casa, their church, and their reception venue, but at the end there were brave enough to head out with their fur shawls for a few snow pictures too!

I started out the day with the boys at Casa, and soon Lorelei and the girls joined us.

Lethbridge Farm Extended Family Photos [Linda & Ed]

Fun Lethbridge weddings and portraits

Linda and Ed were going to have the whole gang together in Lethbridge for one weekend and decided that was the perfect time to get some extended family photos done! Linda’s parents’ farm on the edge of the city provided us with a fun, unique, and meaningful location with so many neat spots to use (my favorite being, of course, the awesome old truck!). We had to be a little careful getting around, though… this was the day of the big snow melt and most of the property was covered in several inches of water that couldn’t absorb through the frozen ground! Luckily we found some helpful pieces of plywood that worked as platforms in the trouble spots.

The family was so fun and joking together the whole time, plus Ed used to develop photos so we had a few things to chat about! My favorite connection was definitely between Austin and his sisters… the little girls clearly look up to their big brother and were so happy together!
