Calgary Lougheed House Winter Wedding [Edina & Eric]
Eric and Edina’s Calgary winter wedding was the perfect start to the 2014 season! They held both their ceremony and reception at Calgary’s historic Lougheed House with their closest family and friends. It was a beautiful intimate event filled with so much laughter, love, and joy.
Eric’s daughter Svea was a very important part of the day and had a special part just for her in the ceremony. She even got to wear a dress in her favorite color, pink! However, she was quite disappointed the limo wasn’t also pink, which would have been fitting for how much Edina looked like a Barbie in her mermaid-style wedding dress.
We had such a great time with them all day and felt so welcomed by their families.
Congratulations, Eric & Edina!
Ring bearer Marcus peaked in after arriving.
After seeing the guys, we headed over to Edina & Eric’s house to meet with the girls.
Svea was in love with the dress!
When everyone was done getting ready, we headed over to the Lougheed House so Eric and Edina could have a private first look. I love the emotion that comes out of these!
Eric had just the PERFECT reaction to Edina!
I loved the hint of the Calgary Tower that reflected in the windows.
Eric and his girls are pretty cute together :)
Edina brought along this gorgeous white fur shrug, but it had been so warm she didn’t even need it! We included it in a few photos just because.
Edina made her entrance down the beautiful wooden staircase.
During the ceremony, Edina also spoke vows to Svea and gave her a ring. It was such a beautiful way to include her in their day.
I loved Edina’s reaction when they were pronounced husband and wife!
Svea helped Eric sign the marriage license.
Immediately after the ceremony, everyone headed downstairs for a special toast from the bride and groom.
With a bit of time left before dinner, we made use of the gorgeous locations within the Lougheed House. I honestly could have done photos there for two more hours!
They included a beautiful tribute to Eric’s mother.
Lucky Svea also got to take part in the first dance :)
Immediately after the first dance, they jumped into fun traditional Bosnian dancing!
Lastly, the awesome groomsmen socks!
