Brooks Spring Wedding [Andrew & Shannon]
After shifting between a few possible dates for their big day, Shannon and Andrew decided on a beautiful Brooks spring wedding in late May and they couldn’t have picked a better day! The blossoms popped out just a few days before and the sun shone all day with just the right number of clouds so it wasn’t too hot.
We started out the day with their outdoor ceremony in Evergreen Park, surrounded by all the lush trees. Brooks had so many great spots thanks to the new blooms, which conveniently matched their wedding color of soft pink!
This was such a fun wedding – not only because we knew a few wedding party members and other guests, but because Shannon, Andrew, and their friends are so fun and silly all the time! We never stopped laughing with them all day and it really took no effort to get them to be crazy in their photos :)
At their reception everyone got involved dancing and singing, especially when a certain Journey song came on ;)
Congratulations, Shannon and Andrew!
Andrew’s shoes did not arrive in time for the ceremony, so a great shoe swap took place.
Andrew and Shannon’s nieces brought the warning!
Shannon’s great aunts were the lovely flower girls, and as you can see, they tried to get into a bit of trouble!
Andrew was so happy when he saw Shannon!
Shannon’s nephew had the important job of ring security.
Justin also rocked at his super hero pose.
The boys tried to get snugly like the girls.
Shannon and Andrew made such awesome faces :)
We put the left over flower petals to good use.
All of the guys had different superhero cufflinks. Superman wasn’t so happy about getting last pick :P
The bridesmaids’ dresses had a beautiful floral detail.
Even Shannon’s nails had an extra splash to match the wedding :)
We soon sent the bridal party on their way so Andrew and Shannon could have some more private time together.
The blossoms were phenomenal!
One of Shannon’s grandmothers was unable to attend the ceremony, so right before the reception we went to visit her. Her grandma looked at her so adoringly! :)
They put a lot of detail into their cake topper :)
Don’t stop belieeeevin’
Hold on to that feeeeeliiiing!
Cam and I stole the couple away from their ceremony for a little bit. Originally we had planned to do sunset photos, but the weather decided to do its own thing. Through the rain, we got something so much better than the sunset!
Here is their slideshow:
It was an amazing wedding! Your pictures capture (most of) the beauty, humour and grace that you two inspire in the people around you and in turn each other.
