Lethbridge Backyard Wedding [Kelly & Emily]
What started out as a Hawaiian themed engagement party eventually turned into a Hawaiian themed evening backyard wedding at Emily and Kelly’s Lethbridge home. Emily had her dress and since invitations had already been sent to their family and closest friends, they decided to take the plunge a little early!
Their party started just before sunset, giving their ceremony a gorgeous glow as it went into twilight. They did a spectacular job decorating their yard for the event and ended up with a gorgeous ceremony location. The service was so emotional with lots of laughter and happy tears. It was wonderful to be a part of such a happy event :)
The evening was full of dancing, coconut and pineapple flavored treats, and everyone having an amazing time celebrating the couple.
Congratulations, Kelly & Emily!
Catering (and entertainment!) was provided by the delicious Flyin’ Hawaiian food truck, a very fitting addition to their theme :)
A lot of time and care was put into decorating their backyard with tons of lights, flowers, and other Hawaiian themed items.
Their aisle was lined with tiki torches.
Both of Emily’s daughters took the roles of flower girls.
I loved hearing Kelly sigh when Emily came into view :)
The neighbor’s cat Jack crashed the party. He felt he should have been invited!
Emily and Kelly came back down the aisle under a tunnel of bubbles.
Kelly’s parents watched the ceremony via Skype, and he waved to them as he came into view :)
For their twilight photos, we went to the green space behind their house.
Once nighttime arrived, we sent the family back in the yard so Emily and Kelly could have some portraits done of just the two of them.
Emily had such great shoes!
After everyone had eaten dinner, they were treated to various island dances.
Even the guests got to learn a few moves :)
They also had a DJ station set up so they could enjoy their first dance in the yard.
