Waterton Indian Wedding [Shreyo & Lorianne]
Shreyo and Lorianne (whom you might remember from their zombie engagement photos) are big video game fans, so of course Cam and I got along amazingly with them! Alongside all the cute Nintendo details in their day, their Waterton Indian wedding at the Bayshore Inn honored Shreyo’s heritage and was followed by a Western ceremony.
Every part of the day was performed by people close to them, from Shreyo’s family carrying out the Indian ceremony at the start of the day to Lorianne’s cousin and sister-in-law performing the first dance song. Every little bit of their wedding felt so personal.
Congratulations, Shreyo & Lorianne!
Shreyo’s first time seeing Lorianne in her dress :)
The only problem with having your family perform the ceremony is that you might get teased A LOT ;)
As the Indian ceremony wrapped up and they started to prepare for their Western ceremony, the thunder grew louder until it finally started to pour.
Lorianne and Shreyo’s Western ceremony became VERY Western as they were forced to move things inside to the saloon! The big bear mural supervised the ceremony.
When they couldn’t get the sound system to work, the guests hummed “Here Comes the Bride” as Lorianne walked down the aisle.
Their ceremony was full of so many video game puns :)
After they were married next to Big Buck Hunter, Lorianne’s dad couldn’t turn down this opportunity ;)
The nearby Starbucks saved the day while we waited for the rain to lighten up!
After very quickly running to the cars, we made our way over to the Prince of Wales Hotel to keep everyone dry.
We were so lucky that the rain stopped just in time to go back outside!
Lorianne and Shreyo had so many cute video game accents in their wedding, but this one took the cake (har har)!
All of the tables were themed with Nintendo characters.
To get them to kiss, you had to shoot 3/5 hearts in this custom made Duck Hunt game, made by one of their friends as a gift.
This is by far the best video game detail from their wedding :)
We had someone try to join Shreyo’s family ;)
Their first dance was to a live performance of “Mario Kart Love Song”.
It’s not often at receptions that the couple get any private time, but Lorianne and Shreyo made sure to spend a lot of time with each other.
Phew, what a day!
