Springbreak Summer Wedding [Colby & Allison]
Colby and Allison held their Springbreak summer wedding at Hillcrest’s beautiful greenhouse at the base of the mountains. Allison looked like a Greek goddess in her one shoulder wedding dress. Her floor length veil was a perfect accent in the wind that is so common in the Crowsnest Pass, though we had a little less wind than expected so Cam helped out with the veil motion a few times ;)
The wedding party was so much fun to spend the afternoon with as everyone was having such a great time, plus this was my first time having one of my cousins included! Colby and Allison have already been together for a few years and the deep connection and friendship they share was obvious.
The Springbreak Flower Farm was a stunning venue for the whole day, starting with Allison and the girls getting ready at the bed and breakfast and finishing with their greenhouse ceremony and reception. Her and Colby planned their day so their guests could go straight to the party, with all of their photos taking place earlier in the day and their ceremony in the evening. Unfortunately their planned outdoor ceremony was met with rain, but inside the greenhouse was just as beautiful with all of the flowers and lights.
We were so happy that the bride and groom set aside time for evening portraits during their reception. Springbreak had such pretty spots tucked away in it!
Congratulations, Colby and Allison!
Their love of the outdoors was captured in Colby’s wood inlaid ring.
Allison’s niece took her flower girl duties seriously and made sure the bride didn’t forget to wear her shoes!
Colby and Allison had their first look tucked away in the garden.
They picked the perfect season for the flowers outdoors to match their wedding colors.
Their dog Maddie got to visit for a few photos and was so excited to be included in the day. Allison received a big thank you kiss!
The groomsmen were given these awesome bottles, but behaved by only drinking water out of them early in the day :)
The sky got so dramatic just before the rain. (We had to hurry to get the photos in time!)
Lucia had so much energy all night!
This was Allison’s reaction after being told, “His other left hand.” ;)
The resident greenhouse kitty led the recessional after the ceremony.
The speeches were hilarious (mainly thanks to Colby’s uncle as MC) and the reception came close to turning into a roast a few times ;)
Allison is super talented; she made her own wedding cake!
Colby was so excited to try the cake, he forgot to feed Allison first.
Allison’s dad gave the most energetic father-daughter dance performance I have ever seen! :)
The rain finally let up at twilight, the perfect time to head outside for a few more photos.

[…] We made a kitty friend at the farm, who followed us around our whole time there. We seem to have a lot of wedding cats this year! […]
