University of Lethbridge Summer Wedding [Scott & Katie]
After knowing Scott and Katie for many years it was an honor to be a part of their University of Lethbridge summer wedding. Their wedding was such a joyous coming together of both families, with guests traveling from as far as England and Abu Dhabi to attend! This may have been the happiest wedding we have ever been to :)
Scott and Katie met while attending the U of L, so it made sense to bring their joining back there and have their ceremony at the University’s Markin Hall. It was a beautiful, bright location and the music of their sextet brass band perfectly filled the space. Scott and Katie were both music majors so music played a very important part throughout their day.
We had so much fun with them and their bridal party, who were all so positive, happy, and goofy despite the CRAZY heatwave we had to deal with.
When photos were finished, we headed to their reception at Paradise Canyon for more live music and LOTS of dancing!
Congratulations, Scott and Katie!
I loved Katie’s blue polka dot shoes.
Katie’s mom had an injury just before the wedding, so Katie had to help her get into her dress instead of the other way around ;)
The special mugs were made for the wedding, and the necklace belonged to Katie’s aunt.
Katie and her helpers made all of the flowers (out of coffee filters and Kool-Aid) that you will see throughout the day. They did an amazing job!
Katie’s grandmother and cousin shared the flower girl duties, though her cousin needed a little encouragement to complete the task ;)
They are huge fans of The Big Lebowski, so Scott and his groomsmen had special themed tie clips. Naturally the groom got to be The Dude :)
These two know how to pick stylish shoes!
The groomsmen quickly took on some bridesmaids duties when Katie got insects stuck in her dress lining. ;)
I loved the opening in the back of Katie’s dress, which was perfect for showing of her treble/bass tattoo.
This bouquet tag was Katie’s late aunt’s mantra.
Their kissing game resulted in some great re-enactments!
The signing table had so many great touches – wedding photos of all the previous generations to get married, atop a tablecloth crocheted by Katie’s grandmother.
She comes from such a crafty family! The cake was made by Katie’s aunt, and the cake topper was used by both her parents and her grandparents at their weddings.
This was definitely a dancing wedding!
Instead of a traditional bouquet toss, they threw a cat! This orange cat, aptly named Notley, was in celebration of the new Alberta government and came bearing prizes to whomever caught it.

What a great visual summary of such a wonderful day for the Tesarowski-Neale families. Beautiful pictures Tanya…your work is lovely.
thanks for sharing.
