Lethbridge Grandstand Summer Wedding [Don & Cathy]
I’ve been looking forward to Don and Cathy’s Lethbridge Grandstand summer wedding for a long time now – not just because they were the first wedding booked for this year, but because I’ve been dancing with Cathy for many years now! Her and Don have been a family for quite a while now and decided to make it official with a party for their closest friends and family.
They held both their ceremony and reception on the bright upper level of the Grandstand. Having Norma officiate the wedding was a perfect fit as she’s one of our “dance moms.”
The hazy skies and summer heat made everything look dreamy and warm outside. It was a perfect complement to the natural color scheme of green, orange, and brown they chose for their wedding colors. They looked gorgeous and were so joyous all day!
Congratulations, Don and Cathy!
Both family’s arms were on display. Cathy and Don’s last names are such a perfect fit together :)
They walked down the aisle to live classical guitar music.
They had a hand fasting ceremony using ribbon made from Cathy’s family tartan.
They continued the nature theme of their names by having their reception decorations heavily centered around trees.
The centerpiece bases were cut from a tree in their own yard and had their initials burned into the wood on each piece.
Cathy picked fantastic green shoes!
We headed across the road to Henderson Lake for the family photos.
The flower girls loved playing in the veil “tent” :)
Don’s daughter and son were included in the wedding party so they could spend the whole day together.
Cathy’s gorgeous long veil belonged to her mother, and they now share the same wedding anniversary :)
We stumbled upon the mounted ride while we were out for photos in Indian Battle Park.

Tanya, this is my favourite wedding photography of yours that I’ve ever seen. Cathy, you and your decor for the day look AMAZING!! Congrats!
