Waterton Community Center Wedding [Garrett & Heather]
Garrett and Heather held a summer Waterton Community Center wedding on the lawn below the mountains. It was a beautiful day for their intimate wedding and we managed to keep the day calm by avoiding all of the crowds in the park.
In the evening we returned to the Waterton Community Center for their reception, which was deliciously catered by The Great Canadian Barn Dance.
Heather and Garrett are such happy and silly people (at one point they complained how hard it was when I asked them to be serious for a photo!) that you couldn’t help but feel joyous being around them all day. They just couldn’t stop smiling! It was obvious where they inherit these traits from… everyone in their families was so warm and inviting and had great senses of humor.
Congratulations, Garrett & Heather!
Since Garrett’s brother was the best man, his flower girl nieces got ready at the same time.
She was very camera shy until it was time for hide & go seek!
Heather had cute wedding themed flats for when she got tired of wearing heels.
Heather and Garrett had to take nearly the same path to their outdoor ceremony and left their adjacent hotel rooms at the same time. Heather quickly ran and hid behind any tree she could find while keeping her eyes on the guys!
Mountains frame every view at a Waterton Community Center wedding.
She was too shy to pose for photos but needed to be near dad, even if he was in a photo :)
We almost got mugged by this little guy!
Last time I was at the Prince of Wales we almost blew away, and this time we had to fight of pterodactyls! Will the cliff side dangers never end?
How perfect was the weather that day? We had beautiful blue skies while we were on the cliffs overlooking the town and then the most perfect clouds moved in once we hit Red Rock so we didn’t have to fight any weird shadows :)
Heather looked so stunning in her mermaid style wedding dress.
On the way back to town we stopped in a field to get a few mountain vistas.
Heather and Garrett’s cute cake was made by their aunt and featured their dog Butters. I can only guess Butters wasn’t invited to the wedding due to all the crazy stories they told about him at the reception ;)
