Paradise Canyon Summer Wedding [Mark & Shelly]
While most of our weddings this year had a huge chance of being rained out, Shelly and Mark’s Paradise Canyon summer wedding never once had that threat. Instead they had an amazing hot day for their outdoor ceremony at the golf course.
They chose to hold both their ceremony and reception at the scenic Paradise Canyon Golf Resort, overlooking the coulees. With Mark’s family travelling a far distance to attend the wedding, it was fitting they got to spend this special day in such a distinct Lethbridge landscape!
It was amazing seeing Shelly and Mark interact with each other. While they are normally very collected people, they couldn’t hold back their emotions at times like seeing each other down the aisle and sharing emotional speeches. I love photographing criers ;)
Congratulations, Mark and Shelly!
We arrived just as Katt Panic was finishing up Shelly’s makeup.
One of the guys lined up to be a groomsmen unfortunately had a bad injury happen just before the wedding so Shelly’s nephew (the best fit for the tux rental) stepped in as a replacement groomsmen. As the girls got ready, he had a few tutorials on how to dance at the reception.
Stopping in to ask if he could set up a tip jar at the reception :)
I love these reactions from grooms!
How hot was it? When Mark pulled away from their kiss, he had Shelly’s foundation on his nose and chin! :)
Shelly’s gorgeous full bouquet was created by Funky Petals and had a locket dedicated to her father attached to it.
Their cake was created by The Mix and had a surprise Jamaican flag in the shape of a heart hidden in the back.
While welcoming Mark into the family, Shelly’s brother in law tried to relate a little more to Mark. Most notably, he stood on a crate so he could be a little closer to Mark’s height!

This was exquisite mark …. Congratulations my childhood friend ….
