Gem of the West Wedding Ceremony [Kelti & Matthew]
Kelti and Matthew held their Gem of the West wedding ceremony on the cusp of autumn with the most important people in their lives in attendance. Kelti is heavily involved in the community so choosing a venue with so much historic value was such a perfect fit.
Kelti, Matthew, and all of their wedding party got ready at the Charles Street Suites, which is conveniently decorated in their wedding colours! They kept to separate floors so that they could share a first look on the staircase before heading out for photos.
Kelti and Matthew both give off so much positive energy and had us laughing all day. It was clear to see why they are so amazing together while watching them interact; they bounce that energy off each other nonstop and hardly ever quit smiling. They, their siblings, and their wedding party were constantly hilarious and never took anything too seriously – even when tackle chases gave way to ripped pants early in the day.
Congratulations, Kelti and Matthew!
Makeup was provided by Jennifer Baczuk.
Once Kelti was ready, she had her first look with her dad.
After Kelti’s dad, it was Matthew’s turn for his first look!
Both of their mothers were so happy and emotional. We also had a lot of crying bridesmaids… it was tough getting out of the house ;)
The street outside had such stunning trees, but was also being used as a detour route! Getting a photo there took a lot of yelling, “Car!” and quickly running into position.
This is what happens when you get tackled in a new suit! Luckily they had a full sewing kit on hand and quickly patched him up.
I so loved that Kelti’s hair matched her wedding colours!
Matthew asked his sister to be one of his “groomsmen,” and she agreed as long as she also got to wear a suit (which she rocked). All day the guys made jokes about her opening a law firm, being the best dectective on the force, etc. and she ran with it!
There had been hesitation when Matthew went looking for Kelti’s ring, so the maid of honour made sure there was no doubt when it was her turn!
After their ceremony, we wandered around the Gem of the West Museum for a few more portraits.
Kelti and Matthew had their first dance to “Space Oddity” by David Bowie :)
