Henderson Lake Wedding Photos [Jody & Corné]
Jody & Corné’s wedding took place on one of the warmest and most calm days this summer, fitting the mood of their laid back wedding. After their ceremony at the Lethbridge NRC Church, we met back up for portraits to make use of the beautiful weather. Their Henderson Lake wedding photos were a perfect place to start as their first date had taken place at the lake. We visited the bridge that Jody best remembered from that day. It was such a cute way to come full circle!
Their small wedding party were fantastic supports for the day. They picked up milkshakes for everyone when the sun got too hot and were constantly joking with the couple throughout photos. However, when they weren’t around, Jody & Corné had no trouble making each other laugh and smile!

An important part of marriage is taking care of each other, and Corné was already up to the task! Jody’s shoes blistered her feet in the heat, and he helped pack her around and apply bandages until she could grab a more comfortable pair of sandals.
Their wedding day ride was a vintage Chevy truck that literally turned heads everywhere they went. I laughed as I drove behind them between locations and watched all of the pedestrians we passed gawking at them! (Corné definitely couldn’t be outdone by his brother, who also had a rad classic car when we photographed his wedding last year.)
The wedding party didn’t especially take care in lowering Corné carefully…
One of Jody’s must have shots was a silhouette against the sun. Lethbridge sadly surprised us with not a single cloud all day! Luckily the sun was in the perfect spot to make an appearance :)
Wedding parties are usually a little more careful with the bride, but Jody nearly took as much of a fall as Corné did earlier! Luckily he was there to rescue her ;)
