Alberta Foothills Ranch Wedding Photos [Julie & Nathan]

When distancing rules made it so that they couldn’t have the large traditional wedding they had originally planned in Lethbridge, Julie and Nathan turned their event into an intimate Alberta foothills ranch wedding.
After their church ceremony at home, the couple and their immediate families travelled out to a family ranch past Claresholm. The property overlooked a stunning view of the valley in multiple directions and had gorgeous forests and vistas we could easily hike to for photos.
Julie has been in a few of the wedding parties we have photographed so it was a blast to do her wedding this year! Her and Nathan were always excited to have their photos taken and their own wedding was no exception. Although their plans of having a 10 member wedding party fell through, most of their original party was still able to attend as guests and take part in a few photos.
Congratulations, Julie & Nathan!

The drop from here is not as terrifying as it looks ;)

All of the originally planned bridesmaids were able to get their dresses despite the closures.

The original groomsmen, however, did not fair as well! Only Nathan’s brother was able to get the appropriate suit, and groomsman #5 remained stuck in Ontario!

Julie had some impressive throwing power with the train of her wedding dress!

Julie and Nathan still officially kept their maid of honour and best man. :)

“That’s so 2020” is quickly becoming a saying to describe all the outrageous things that don’t even surprise us any more. One of those super 2020 things is that Julie broke her toe before the wedding! Luckily she had comfortable shoes to survive the day and we were all impressed with how quickly she hiked up and down hills and was able to play games.
