Lethbridge Promotional Band Photos [Jamani Duo]
Last fall, Jamani Duo began working on the creatives for their new album. They loaded up their van with the instruments that were used on the tracks and we adventured throughout the city with all their instruments in tow. Normally when I do Lethbridge promotional band photos there may be a guitar involved, not a whole set up that takes 20 minutes to put together, so this was a ton of fun!
When they listed off the numerous instruments they had recorded with, the top down photo with their instruments surrounding them was the first image that came to my mind, and I was so excited to see it was the photo that made the album cover!
In addition to shooting for the album, Matt and Jodi needed extra photos for various promotional uses like their website and social media. We made use of several locations and an outfit change at each to get the most variety.
The goal with the photos for the album was to have lots of colour and make it look like they could have been taken anywhere to have the right vibe for the world music the duo plays. Can you recognize where this was taken? We got a lot of looks doing photos here!
Before we met up for photos, Matt and Jodi had a look through my work and loved this mural, wondering if it was in Calgary or somewhere else. This is a pretty iconic Lethbridge mural and they laughed when I told them where it was! Can you recognize it even after I edited out one of it’s defining features? This was originally in the running for the cover, but ended up as part of the fold out of the CD.
