Waterton Lakes Lodge Spring Wedding [Kassie & Josh]

If every wedding this year is even a fraction of how fun Kassie and Josh’s Waterton Lakes Lodge spring wedding was, we are going to have a great year! They had us laughing from when we first arrived at the hotel. The couple have such great relationships with their siblings and kept them as best friends into adulthood. No one in their group takes things too serious. This was especially obvious by how much laughter Kassie had the many times her dress caused a tripping hazard ;)
After a few getting ready photos and their first look, we took the wedding party to the still snowed over Cameron Lake. Everything looked so beautiful with the snow, and no amount of snow was about to get in our way!
Once we headed back into town, Kassie and Josh had their ceremony outdoors on the upstairs patio at the resort, giving guests a beautiful view of the mountains behind the couple. We saved all of the blowing away at the Prince of Wales lookout for the very end. For weddings like this, it makes the wind worth it!
Congratulations, Kassie and Josh!

We started the day with a first look outside the hotel. They were both so excited to see each other and managed not to cry (they saved that part for the ceremony!).

Not all of Waterton had caught up with it being spring! Cameron Lake was still snowed over and we had to hike through a few snowbanks to make it into the forested area. Kassie impressively made it through in her heels! The path was snowed in a short way up, but we had enough beautiful scenery to work with before that.

Kassie’s sister had to hold the veil down through most of the ceremony. Any time she let go, the wind grabbed it and it blocked Kassie and Josh.

There may not have been crying during their first look, but during the ceremony it all came out!

You never know what you’ll be asked to help with when you’re in a wedding party…

Sibling photos may be the most dangerous part of the day…

We briefly kidnapped Lloyd and Harry from another wedding. They were the talk of Waterton that day!

I wish one of us could take credit for telling a hilarious joke, but laughter like this came from Josh and Kassie tripping on her dress ;)
