indoor Lethbridge extended family photos

Floyd, Elaine, and their family invited me over during the Christmas weekend. They wanted some fun Christmas pyjama family photos before they headed to their ride on the Polar Express train! Each family wore a cute set of matching holiday PJs and festive hats. The kids were buzzing with Christmas excitement even though it was still a few days away and loved having a chance to play with their cousins and grandparents.

We started out the session in their home with some more classic portraits, and their beautiful red walls that we used as a backdrop really tied together the Christmas theme.

Waterton Lakes Summer Family Photos [Julia & Her Abuelas]

Waterton Lakes summer family photos

Julia got to experience some very special Waterton Lakes summer family photos when both of her abuelas came from Brazil to visit Canada! Her family wanted to show them some of the best Southern Alberta had to offer during their stay and it’s hard to beat the beauty of Waterton.

We started our photos at the Prince of Wales Hotel where it was just as windy as usual! Julia thought the wind was fun and constantly made airplane arms into it. Julia had so much fun playing with her grandmothers. I’m not sure who made the other smile more! They were so joyful to spend time with their sweet little grand daughter, doing all kinds of singing and dancing together.

Outdoor Lethbridge Winter Family Photos [Kristen & The Boys]

outdoor Lethbridge winter family photos

Kristen was the lucky winner of a gift certificate in support of the YMCA and used the opportunity to get outdoor Lethbridge winter family photos with her boys for Christmas. In keeping with the Christmas theme, it was perfect that there was so much fresh snow and that it had finally warmed up enough that they didn’t have to be bundled up for our harsh Canadian weather.

Her boys were hilarious, having no problems making silly faces on command and racing each other through the snow. It’s also obvious how much they love their mom and loved taking breaks from playing together to snuggle with her.

children's Lethbridge indoor photo session

April contacted me with a fun top secret photo project: her children and nieces were going to surprise their grandma for Christmas with a collage of the four kids! The cousins got all fancied up and snuck away for their indoor photo session at the University of Lethbridge while they were visiting for Thanksgiving. They were so cute and each of them was so well behaved when it was their turn.

It was pretty cold that weekend so we mostly stuck inside (and enjoyed the fun elevator ride in between photos!) but the children were brave and whipped off their coats for a few quick photos in the autumn leaves.

Lethbridge comic book shop family photos

Oliver made his mom and dad come in to work a little early for their Lethbridge comic book shop family photos. They are the awesome owners of local game store Kapow and their shop made a cute backdrop for the session. Seeing as how he had a superhero theme to his baby photos, it was only fitting to do that again to celebrate his second birthday!

Oliver has turned into an energetic and bubbly toddler! He loved posing and taking breaks to organize the products his parents carry in the store :)

West Lethbridge Fall Family Portraits [Annelies and her parents]

West Lethbridge fall family portraits

Every couple years I get to hang out with Annelies and see how big she’s getting! This year for her West Lethbridge fall family portraits she showed me all her new dance moves she’s learning and had a great time joking around with me. The absolute funniest thing to her was when we pretended the ducks outside got poop on my camera. Anything to get a smile!

Her mom is a huge Kill Bill fan and lightly worked that theme into their photos. She started with the iconic shoes and went with a vibrant yellow motif around them, and we recreated a few photos of Beatrix with her daughter BB. What a fun idea!
