New York photography trip

This winter I was given an amazing opportunity to travel to New York with Renae Peterson from Beautiful Inside Academy and Susanne Richard from The Travel Agent Next Door for the mother-daughter bonding trip they had organized.

We set out with 7 mother/daughter pairs, one grandmother, and 5 solo travellers. I loved photographing this super fun trip!

Frosty Lethbridge Landscape Photography [The West Side]

frosty Lethbridge landscape photography

I always joke that I only take photos with people (or animals!) in them, but I’m always jealous of all the amazing photos landscape photographers take by getting up before sunrise. I did not get up before sunrise, but I did get up early enough on one of our recent foggy days to actually catch the hoarfrost and fog! I set off bundled up to take some frosty Lethbridge landscape photography.

Quickly I learned that it was only foggy for several blocks around my house and everywhere else was bathed in winter sunlight. Luckily the frost still clung to the trees so I wasn’t left cursing being out in the cold for nothing!

Crowsnest Pass Landscapes

Tuesday, March 26th, 2013

Normally it takes a lot to convince me to do landscapes (photos are just so much more interesting with people or animals in them!) but when I last went location scouting in the Crowsnest Pass, the autumn colors were so beautiful that I just couldn’t keep my camera down! I went on a mini-hike and barely stopped taking photos along the way. All of the plants were so lush and colorful, and the hazy sky from the BC fires gave such a warm, gorgeous light.

Interested in prints of any of these? Send me a message! Later this year I am hoping to put together a special gallery of prints for sale, so keep an eye out :) (more…)

A frosty day in Lethbridge

Lethbridge landscape photo with frost

While the snow has been sporadic so far, one thing that’s more frequent is the ice fog we’ve been getting that’s been coating Southern Alberta in gorgeous, sparkling frost. The frost has been so heavy that Lethbridge is still often white by the afternoon! With a few traces of autumn still left behind and no snow to cover the grass, it made for some beautiful photos. City of Lethbridge Autumn Photos

Monday, October 8th, 2012

Finally I bring you the last installment of my City of Lethbridge photos, featuring autumn! Sadly the trees didn’t play nice that year, and some lost their leaves while others were still green, so it was hard to get photos encompassing how beautiful it actually was! However, we had some gorgeous weather with delicious warm light and I was so happy with what I was able to capture.

City of Lethbridge Summer Photos

Wednesday, July 18th, 2012

For the next installment of my City of Lethbridge photos, here is summer! We had an amazing summer and the city put on lots of great events so I had plenty of things to photograph! The great thing about being surrounded by farming communities is that it gives us such a diverse landscape with colorful fields next to urban settings. I love how rich and blue our skies are here all summer.

This is by far the largest post because we had such a long summer and I just couldn’t put my camera down :)
