Waterton Beachside Wedding Ceremony [Natalie & Scott]

Natalie and Scott, Waterton beachside wedding ceremony

Natalie returned to her family’s home area for her Waterton beachside wedding ceremony to Scott. This beautiful area has always been important to her and she wanted to share it with the love of her life!

Every detail of their day had such personal touches. The wedding date took place on their dating anniversary. Natalie’s father performed the ceremony. Only their immediate families were present to keep the wedding intimate. Scott and Natalie put together her bridal bouquet themselves as a pre-wedding project.

Even in the crazy gusts of wind, Natalie and Scott were full of joy. They could barely make it more than a few minutes without bursting into fits of laughter in each other’s company. They have found such perfect partners in each other.

Congratulations, Natalie and Scott!

Prince of Wales Wedding Ceremony in Waterton [Jennifer & Scott]

Jennifer and Scott, Prince of Wales wedding ceremony

It’s amazing to live so close to such a beautiful national park. While most of my wedding clients who get married in Waterton live nearby or at least within Alberta, we have a few each year who make a long journey to take in the beauty of the mountains. Jennifer and Scott travelled all the way from the United States to have their wedding here!

With the threat of rain storms looming overhead, they decided on an indoor Prince of Wales wedding ceremony rather than use the bluff overlooking the lakes. Their ceremony took place in the morning so there were very few tourists in the hotel spying on the event!

Jennifer and Scott had their children stand up with them as their wedding party and only travelled with immediate family, making their beautiful wedding that much more intimate. We had to hold off on family photos because what started as one person in happy tears quickly spread to half of their guests!

We were excited to discover how easy going Scott and Jennifer were. No rain could stop them from getting photos in the beautiful Waterton landscape! They were even willing to brave the rain without the umbrella, which was quickly handed in and out of the photos. Their amazing attitudes let us visit Cameron Falls, the fields full of wild flowers, and the burned trees at the edge of town (almost all in the rain). Despite the cold, they were still full of smiles at each other and lost in each other’s embrace.

Congratulations, Jennifer and Scott!

Cameron Falls Wedding Elopement [Karah & Steve]

Karah & Steve, Cameron Falls Wedding Elopement

Karah and Steve came all the way down to Waterton for their Cameron Falls wedding elopement with their immediate families for a beautiful, intimate ceremony. If their wedding day is any indication, they will have a very lucky marriage! After a week of intense wind leading to a day of thunder storm warnings, we were met with a calm and dry afternoon until just after photos finished.

We were able to go to the Prince of Wales Hotel without blowing away, stop in the wild flower fields, and then take a quick detour out of Waterton to get some amazing views of the mountains away from the wildfire damage.

Their families were so sweet, and completely bursting with excitement the whole day. Karah and Steve have such an amazing support network around them. The couple were so cute together, constantly transitioning from quiet romantic moments to silly faces and poses!

Congratulations, Karah and Steve!

Romantic Fort Macleod Wedding Photography [Kate & John]

Kate and John, Romantic Fort Macleod Wedding Photography

Kate and John chose a beautiful mid-spring day to have their wedding at the Fort Macleod NRC Church. All day they were full of smiles, joking with their friends but mostly flashing huge grins whenever they caught each other’s eyes.

They picked so many perfect details to accent their romantic Fort Macleod wedding photography. Soft pinks, navy blue, well-tailored suits, a classic rose bouquet, and gorgeous lace detail on Kate’s wedding dress all tied the romantic theme together.

Their wedding party was made up of a variety of family members who double as close friends. Each member was very well selected, constantly going above and beyond to help the married couple by doing things like fixing Kate’s hair, checking in with property owners, and picking up pizza.

Normally I choose most photo locations for my couples, but Kate did all of her own scouting and found some amazing spots! We got to go inside an old wooden grain elevator and visited a few older style houses within Fort Macleod, all with beautiful front porches. Kate has an amazing eye for historic design. Each time we switched locations, I was excited to see what we were going to find!

Congratulations, Kate and John!

Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden Wedding Ceremony [Mary & Dale]

Mary and Dale, Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden wedding ceremony

I was honoured when a friend asked me to photograph her mother’s wedding. After their children were grown up, Mary and Dale found love in each other and organized a beautiful Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden wedding ceremony. Mary hadn’t had a fancy wedding the first time around and used this opportunity to plan her dream wedding! She chose her favourite colours, planned around one of the most scenic locations in Lethbridge, and looked stunning in her flower crown and lace dress with a full train.

They invited the people who were most important to them to their intimate wedding, including Mary’s daughters in the wedding party. Mary and Dale were all smiles at each other. Dale teared up so many times early on in the ceremony! They are such a sweet couple.

Congratulations, Mary and Dale!

Norland Estate Wedding Portraits in Lethbridge [Robyn & Wayne]

Robyn and Wayne, Norland Estate wedding portraits

Robyn and Wayne chose a beautiful, warm spring day to have their wedding. After they were married at the Lethbridge NRC Church, they and their familes joined us for Norland Estate wedding portraits. The property was so lush with all the fresh spring growth. We finished off their portraits at Henderson Lake to make use of the gorgeous lilac bushes.

They included so many classic and romantic elements in their wedding day. Robyn’s dress had beautiful lace sleeves and details, and her bouquet featured soft pastel colours. Wayne wore a well tailored navy suit with black trim and they brought along a family member’s burgandy vintage Volvo car as their wedding day ride. The Norland and this car went so well together!

Both Robyn and Wayne have such calm, kind personalities and a beautiful gentleness together. Whenever they thought they weren’t being watched, they were constantly giggling together :)

Congratulations, Robyn and Wayne!
