The last few zombie walks have taken place on Saturdays during wedding season so I’ve missed way too many of them. This year it took place on my first Saturday off! The compromise is that it was late in the fall and it was COLD. Despite the wind, the turn out was pretty great and we all had fun “attacking” the victims who came to watch :)

Lethbridge has really been showing off its local talent with all of the great theatre we’ve had, and Evil Dead The Musical was definitely no exception! Put on a couple years ago, Hatrix Theater Company presented this popular musical at the Moose Hall over two weeks around Halloween and the actors and crew did an amazing job. They were very true to the musical, including three rows of Splatter Zone as the show rightfully should have. I had the fortune of being the official photographer and even from my “safe” location on the side wing, I still ended up with some fake blood splattered on me :)

I was so impressed I made sure to return to a second showing without my camera to take full advantage of the splatter zone. I’m pretty glad I wore goggles to the show!

Hope was adorable for her portrait session… but I think something may have been wrong with her? Maybe she wasn’t feeling well that day? ;)

I worked with Hope as part of a Halloween themed photographer/model collaboration and wanted to take some gory but lovely zombie girl portraits of her. Of course I had to go as traditional and cutesy as possible for her portrait poses to juxtapose all the blood and gore she had going on! Hope did a fantastic job on her own makeup and managed to keep her contacts in despite the crazy wind making them shift :)

This is my kind of engagement session. As soon as I found out Lorianne and Shreyo were up for doing zombie engagement photos, I knew I would get along great with them! This took a bit of coordination with them coming from out of town and having to get together some of Lethbridge’s finest undead, but the end result was sooooo worth it. The couple who can take out zombies together definitely stays together, and Lorianne and Shreyo had some mighty fine zombie fighting skills.

Lethbridge’s most recent zombie walk was yet again a huge success! This year the weather was gorgeous so there were more summer themed zombies, and as usual the makeup and costumes were so impressive! It’s great that so many adults and children can get together and have such a great time while shuffling along and eating brains :) I love when spectators pull their cars over to watch and participate when all the zombies attack them! This year’s zombie walk in Lethbridge was a huge success! We had a fantastic turnout, decent weather, and super creative costumes as always. The walk took around two hours this year, and we only lost a few of the undead along the way. While some living citizens pretended they didn’t see us, a few played along by parking near us and screaming in their cars, and a few local business employees could be seen mouthing, “OH MY GOD,” through the window as we walked by.
