Lethbridge Indoor Three Generation Family Photos

John and Beatrice were ecstatic to have their whole family together for Christmas! Once the holiday excitement died down a few days later, I met up with them for Lethbridge indoor three generation family photos at the University. We had hoped to do the photos outdoors, but with wind chills that week of -30C and colder, the University was a very appropriate backup!

The kids were a little iffy about having to hug their siblings, but the adults gladly grabbed onto each other for tight squeezes! They are definitely a closely knit family :)

Lethbridge Live Music Performance Photos [Rockuronium]

Lethbridge band photos of Rockuronium

Rockuronium had a special live music performance at a party for many of their friends and peers, and their guitar player treated them to some live band photography! I love how the band gives all the members a time to shine. Despite there being so many people on stage, they frequently took turns singing and rotating members to the front. The band is totally made up of doctors and health care workers and their name is a medical pun – I always appreciate a good pun! :) I loved being able to crash the party and watch them perform.

Be sure to check out Rockuronium on Facebook to see when they’re performing next!

Lethbridge In Home Newborn Photo Session [Branegan]

Lethbridge in home newborn photo session

Branegan arrived right on schedule for his family just before Christmas! They celebrated his arrival with an in home newborn photo session while the other kids were out at school. Branegan was so laid back during photos and even though he didn’t really sleep through the session, he trusted us enough to rest his eyes, as long as we kept our promise not to change him. He was happiest every moment he got to snuggle with his mom and dad.

Crowsnest Pass Winter Maternity Photos [Jena & Daniel]

Crowsnest Pass winter maternity photos

A few months before their due date, I travelled down to Jena and Daniel’s mountain home for their Crowsnest Pass winter maternity photos. It’s so exciting to see them starting their family! Rufus, who has grown a lot bigger since their wedding, also got to be included in a bunch of photos. While he waited his turn, he got to excitedly zoom around in the snow outside.

Once we finished all the warm indoor photos, Jena got brave and headed outside in just a dress! She had a gorgeous flower crown to match the red, which looked so striking against the snow. Her and Daniel snuggled close to stay warm in the freezing temperatures and we loved the big fluffy snowflakes that fell around us.

Melinda and Henk, early spring Lethbridge wedding photography

Earlier this year I had another opportunity to second shoot for the lovely Photography by Andrea Hulst when she invited me to Henk and Melinda’s wedding. We started the morning in Picture Butte while the couple got ready at their family homes and then joined them at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation for their ceremony. We spent the rest of the afternoon doing their early spring Lethbridge wedding photography around the river bottom parks, hunting for the first signs of spring that were starting to appear.

Congratulations, Melinda and Henk!

Four Generation Family Photos in Lethbridge [Valerie & Louis]

four generation family photos in Lethbridge

Louis and Valerie’s granddaughter was visiting Lethbridge for Christmas, which was the perfect time to bring her great grandma, uncles, and aunty along and get some four generation family photos! Since the last time the kids had their photos taken, they tragically lost their brother. For these new photos, they brought along a treasured framed picture of him from that last session so he could still be included. It was a beautiful way to honour his memory and show that he’s still an important part of their lives.
